How often does your Husband talk to his mother?

If a lot, does it bother you? or are you happy they have such a close relationship?

He never calls her, she calls. Sometimes I feel fad and I tell him to call.
Their relationship is ok, he is not very close to her and she tries to hard.

They have a great relationship but DH HATES talking on the phone so he RARELY ever calls her and she occasionally complains about it to me and to him.

He never calls. Sometimes he'll stop by after wrok, but I wish he would call more, maybe once a week, so that don't think I am keeping him from them or something and because sometimes I have questions, like who is going where for Thanksgiving that I need answered!

He doesn't call her that much. She calls us almost every other day about such stupid things sometimes!!! Then when he calls her back she keeps him on the phone for 45 minutes, even if he says, Jill and I are just about to eat dinner. It's a little aggravating, but in the grand scheme of things not the end of the world. I just sometimes wish she'd give us a little privacy.

Thanks everyone. My husband calls his mom almost everyday. I find it kind of annoying..Is it ok to feel this way??
and if he doesn't, I know that she would get upset or feel like I am taking him away from her..

I think I feel this way because there were many times that she has interfered in our relationship and made him feel guilty enough about a situation where he defends her and forgets about my feelings/opinion..

I was just curious to what everyone elses situation was like.

PS. he's an only child..

DH is NOT a momma's boy, his brother is. In fact, his relationship with his mother is kind of strained. I would say she calls him once a week. His brother talks to her every day.

We talk to them about twice a week. Once midweek and once on the weekends.

They have a pretty good relationship. They argue, but get over it really fast.

My whole family is very close, my brother and I both speak to my mom every day, so it doesn't bother me at all.

DH talks to his mother about once a week. She does not call us at all. The only time he speaks to her is when he calls her.

He calls her a lot and vice versa...it doesnt really bother me. THere have been times I think its odd though.

He talks to his mother on an average of 2-3 times a week. They are very close, actually we are very close to them. A lot of the times we both talk to her on the phone. His parents also live in Florida, so it is not like we can jump in the car to see them.

Same her, and when we do talk to her she gives DH a guilt trip starts to cry and says 'oh you never have time for us' etc.

My MIL has cancer and is going for treatment so DH calls her frequently. I don't mind. I know he wouldn't mind if I did the same thing.

once or twice a week- they are very close. He only sees them once a month, though (They live in NH)

they work at the same company, but yet they still don't talk every day ...!!

and on the phone they hardly ever chat.. we usually see them every other weekend , and I email back & forth with my MIL a lot

but they do have a great relationship , though.. just that DH is not a 'phone person' whatsoever

Maybe once a week and that's only if she picks up the phone. She asks so many questions when you are on the phone with her and goes off on so many tangents. We usually try to go over there once a week since they live 5 blocks away.

every day. She drives us crazy. She will call and Call and CALL until one of us answers the phone...
