Ours is the other way around. I am trying to tell hubby its not time to let himself go. My baby has gained so much weight. Its just more to love he tells me.

I was out today, sharing my album with family so I missed participating in this lovely discussion, here is mine and hubby's contribution to the topic of the day.

1) Stop and think, and ask yourself, will this matter one year from today...taken from don't sweat the small stuff in Love

2) Don't take each other for granted

3) Show each other that you appreciate each other

4) Communicate, communicate, communicate

5) Never stop dating each other

6) Never let the honeymoon end

7) Keep friends and family out of your business

8) Do not part in anger

9) Always be the first to say you are sorry

10) Do not let the sun go down on your anger

11) A family that prays together stays together

12) Not only say I love you, show the other person by your actions

I agree with the poster that said, you must have friends outside of the ones that you 2 share in common, you both need your alone time outside of each other

Keep your sense of humor. Our rabbi at our ceremony also told us to have patience.

Always put your marriage first (that includes before your children)

Basically it means do not let anything divide the two of you. You need to spend time alone together or else you just beome 2 people who live in the same house. Also, in regards to children- do not be afraid to take a weekend away once in a while, put them to bed early sometimes and eat dinner by candlelight, stand by each other's decisions in front of the kids (one says yes to something, the other should honor it and discuss it in private later). The best thing you can give your children is happily married parents.
