Re: 'Bachelorette Party' GTG

hey ladies, sorry to be a downer but Tara and myself wont be coming.

We both agree that Queens is farther then we want to travel, we are both in suffolk (as well as other ladies) and just dont think that driving to Queens on a friday night for a GTG that is only going to be a few hours and the girls from Queens/The City arent definites is not really what we want to do.

Sorry, maybe the next one

They all are but only for a few hours, and dont forget everyone is a definitely until the GTG-things always happen that people cant make it. I just feel like its out of the way to go there when the city girls will all be leaving early. Im more then willing to go and make a day of it but not to meet at 8 and go home at 10. Its more then an hour drive from where I am and its just not worth it to me. not saying I dont want to see everyone, Im just not driving that far for a few hours. To me it had no purpose. No offense to the girls in Queens or elsewhere

TWOTY is on the 19th and this GTG is this Friday the 11th. Who is leaving early besides Jenn? (she lives out in Jersey so that's probably why she's not staying too late). How long are GTG's usually? I've only been to one - the one we did in the city last year - and it was after work for a few hours so I thought they were all like that.

Re: 'Bachelorette Party' GTG

why has everyone been talking about the TWOTY being the day after???

Regardless, to drive over 1 hour (who knows how long) is just not something we want to do. No offense to anyone and I dont want it to be taken that way, its just extremely far out of the way for us. It may not be for anyone else but Im at exit 61 on the LIE and Tara is 62

ETA: GTGs last as long as they do, depending on who/what is going on and when people leave.

Ladies I'm just logging on now...I've been under the weather today. As a result, I ended up staying home from work and sleeping most of the day.
Peg I'm to blame for the initial mix up of TWOTY being the next day. In my original posting I did not have the Friday date listed...then I went back and edited it...since this is a 'bachelorette gtg' it will only be for the ladies...I went with Play lounge after Taryn's suggestion and for a change of gtg location...out of curiosity with trafffic, distance, and length of time to stay out...would anyone rather the following night, Saturday 1/12 instead of Friday?

I'm going to attach a poll just to get an idea...I'm good for either of these nights as DH will be at work

Maybe we should add this to the poll

Kath, I probably can't do the next night unless we make it somewhere a little closer. Play does sound like fun, but if I am going to travel into Queens, we would probably need to at least make the start time earlier, because I will be working until 5 at the latest and we get kicked out of the office and then I will be in limbo.

Is there a possibility that we could maybe change the GTG to Western Nassau to make it easier for people to come?

Kath, I was sleeping all night as well!

I hear you, I am exit 71, and then I have to take it all the way south and east to get home! But if someone will help me with transportation and somewhere to go after work and before the GTG, I am still game
