Re: Did you change your name at work

I'm a teacher and was married during the middle of the school year- I went by my married name, but I used both names when signing things.

I also didn't change my email address until the end of June.

This year, I am completely changed over to my married name.

Re: Did you change your name at work

I was married last November and I just changed my name at work (Im a teacher, so I figured it was be less confusing for the kids, parents and my co-workers) so I just started off this new year with my new name.
My work email did not change, but I don't really use that one anyway

Re: Did you change your name at work

Not yet. I'm still in training so I have to wait until that's over. It's weird too because I need to use my car for work so I needed a copy of my driver's license and registration and my registration is in my new name. I have to explain that I'm in the process of changing my name but I have both my licenses so hopefully they can figure it out. It's definitely going to be a pain!

they actually changed my email address at work to show my married name, and linked w/ the former email address so i can still receive emails under both names. but other than my nameplate, everything has been changed to my married name.

That is what my job will do as well. I hyphenated on my office signs and will do that for a while.

My company doesnt change our email address if your name has changed - therefore my maiden name will still be my email address.

Should I start signing things as my new name? Does everyone go by their maiden name still??

my work is the same, they wont change my email address, but i sign everything with my new last name

Re: Did you change your name at work

I told my DH I would change it when my license expires (3/09) we were married 10/07

My name has not been changed at work. . .and quite frankly, I don't really want to change it - as my new married name is Jenny McCarthy! ugh
