Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

probably 90% couples. I have one friend who is in the process of getting divorced and when I thought about who I could set him up with I realized had no single friends anymore (most are not married but in long term commited relationships.)

We don't and we need some!

Part of my excitement about moving is that both my siblings are married and we get to hang out as 'couples' finally!

I have one frind (my MOH) who's married but she's a horrible bore. Seriously. She spent our reception in the bridal suite because the music was too loud. She's 26!

Anyway...no, we don't everyone else is single.

wow! we might have the same friend! my best friend is the EXACT same way...25 going on 40- shes obsessed with kids, even though she doesn't have any of her own yet, and she hangs out with all these older SAHMs from her church.....very, very boring and just doesn't act her age and enjoy things ' normal' people her age do....

LOL now to answer the question- we do have a lot of couple friends... DH has a big group of friends from HS and when we started dating, most of them were single, but now as we get older they are starting to couple off and so now we have more couple than single people.... not all of them are married, though- most are either engaged or talking about getting engaged....

I don't have any single friends, they're all couples.

DH has a few single buddies, but not very close ones.

Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

I think between the two of us we have 5 single friends!

ETA: Almost everyone is dating seriously, engaged, living with someone or married.

Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

We are older so all our friends are paired up now. Most even have kids. Its funny though I had a ton of single friends until I met my DH. Now they have all met significant others- the last one just got engaged. Its so nice to hang out with them AND my DH now.

Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

Most of the people we hang out with on the weekends now are couples, but some of our nearest and dearest friends are still single. It's tough to go out with them though because they are into doing things that don't much excite me anymore. Kind of *****...but they are more the people i go to when i have issues with stuff.

The couples are more of people to hang out with and do thigns you both like doing...like going out to dinner, having them over for boardgames, etc.

However, only 2 couples in our groups have kids, so things may change drastically when that happens!

Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

Most of our friends are couples but there are a handful of singles. More and more we find it's easier to hang out separately with them. DH has two friends who are still single and while I love them so much it's just easier to excuse myself and let the guys hang.

Re: Do you and DH have a lot of 'couples friends'?

Not really. Most of my friends are single, which is kind of annoying because unless it's a group of 4 or more, it's hard to convince people that they aren't third-wheeling if they come out with me and DH. Last night, one of our friends bailed on dinner when he found out it would just be the 3 of us. DH and I aren't exactly the making out at the table type, so I was pretty annoyed.
