It looks great! I like shorter hair myself but what you said about nrusing makes sense-need enough to draw it back. You should try the graduatd bob ina longer length if you want short and long hair at the same time. My front is finally below my jaw and then it graduated back a little shorter but I can pull it back into a stub for cleaning.

Variation of this... I LOVE it because if I pull it all down it looks long in front but the back is short enough to manage without a hair brush 99 percent of the time and its close cropped so minimal fuss.
