Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

Can anyone suggest baby shower centerpieces for a baby girl shower? My mom & I are planning my shower for April, and I want to get a jump on it. We have the option of doing balloons at the restaurant for $10 a table. I rather do something else, and if I can't find anything I like then just go with the balloons. I don't want to spend too much money.
Thank you in advance for all your expertise

I was going to say mini diaper cakes!!!

but that might get expensive...well maybe not if you buy in bulk!!

or just something simple like small vases with tulips! tulips are pretty for april!

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

I went to a REALLY cute one where the center piece was a fish bowl with white balls on the bottom, and then a pink duckie on top. It looked like suds and the ducky swimming...

Ill think of some more :)

What about white buckets filled with pink baby items like rattles, stuffed animals, bottles..and then you can use them yourself or you can have a game and give them away.

What about teddy bears, wrapped pink gift boxes, baby blocks, potted pink plants.

I saw this pic too and then you can keep the pretty dresses for your little girl.

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

OHH!

My sister in law had large jars (from dollar tree) filled with candies (All different)

Each read:

'A sweet treat is filled inside, Take a guess and win a prize'

Everyone at the table had to guess the amount they thought was in it...

She had sweetheart candies we stocked up on from valentines day after they went on sale for pastel colors and ontop were little booties ....

I sware the total was super cheap and it was a table game.

Of course we had to count them all and put a sticker for each table to know which had how many, but it was fun. One girl guessed the exact amount it was insane!

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

Okay so dont think im nuts...
Although everyone does..

I asked the women i work with and here are some of the things they have seen and liked:

Each table has a different kind of toy, that was registered
One table had the blocks displayed, another had the stuffed animals, another had the onsies all stuffed with little flowers around it

Another made lollypops out of cloths....and put them ina jar with candy on the bottom. She said she got the packs of cloths from the dollar store and each had ten of them. She secured them with a pin so the mom had alot of cloths to use...
(Im adding a picture for u to see at the bottom i found one)

One woman said they used the gifts from the people at each table to set them up like a centerpiece (if it was a box)

another mentioned a centerpiece made from rose onsies and socks... I found something similar too :)
The mom got to keep them all :)

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

These ideas are great!!! Thank you so much. My mom mentioned wanting to do a guessing game w/ some type of candy. The sweetheart idea is great. Love it! I also love the pink rose centerpiece made out of the washcloths. I like that it can be reused too. Thanks again!!!!!

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

For my sister's shower I painted pots and bought flowers for them. It was cheap and they were a bit hit! Here's a picture of one of them.

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

My friend had tall & small glass cylinders & filled them with kisses & personalized M&Ms (some had the baby's name & the other said its a boy) with scoopers in them & then for favors she had small jars with lids & you filled them with the candies & brought them home. On the Jar label it read Jasmin's Baby Shower & the date. very cute.

other ideas

U can fill these with flowers

Re: Need your planning help (baby shower centerpieces)

This was for a bridal shower, but it could work for a baby shower too, especially in April. The centerpiece was four or five small clay pots and each had a flower in it, all together it made a bigger centerpiece, but everyone got to take a little flower home, thought that was cute.
