Re: North Fork Vineyards/Inns

Wow, now I wanted to go out east for a weekend. I've been wanting to visit the wineries and I may just have to plan a trip out there. Is there still a lot going on this time of year or durig the winter? Or should I really try to go in the summer?

No this is still a good time to go the wineries are still open and they have great farms to stop off on the way or back. Fresh baked apples pies The bed & breakfast have some great winter packages, and if they have a fireplace that is always a great plus!!!

all the vineyards were open - a lot of the hotels had off-season specials and the businesses were open as usual.
some of the vineyards had stuff going on too like one had a book signing and a few had live music

Re: North Fork Vineyards/Inns

Greenport is a great town and you can take the ferry over to shelter island. or drive out to orient point and take the ferry up to mohegan sun or fox woods for the day.
the wineries are all open, and all the towns are so cool to walk around and shop in.

- we stayed at this amazing waterfont condo, in Greenport e-mail me fore more information. its on the water and has great views, heated pool the works. i think its in the township of southold, and its only about a 10 min ride from East Marion!!~ so a really good location!!
