Recipe Card poem help

I'm MOH in a friends wedding in July. I am ordering Bridal shower invites today, and I am i also going to insert recipe cards. I'm trying to come up with a cute poem to order with the invites for the recipe card.

This is what I've got so far:

In order to help Crista become the perfect wife,
Give her your favorite recipes to try.
Write down the ingredients & tools, ie a knife,
Don't leave out the procedures, saute, bake or fry.
With your help she'll become quite the lil cook,
and there will never be a need for another cookbook.
Please bring the recipe with you that day,
In a recipe box they'll go and forever stay.

I'm a lil iffy about some of the lines.

Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions. Thanks

Re: Recipe Card poem help

Thats so cute...I also found this one from this site...I saved it...

Enclosed for you is a recipe card.
To fill it in shouldn't be hard.
(Bride's name) might like to try your favorite cake,
or whatever it is you like to make.
So don't forget this card on this special date.
Fill it in now, don't hesitate.
At the shower will be a recipe box to fill.
So bring this recipe card, if you will.

Re: Recipe Card poem help

I like yours because its very specific
The other one is too general.

Since I'm soooo bored here...I did a little modifying lol
hope you like it!

Re: Recipe Card poem help

Hey Megan...you might like this too if you are doing a wishing well:

Spices, detergents, and gadgets galore,
there are never enough, you can always use more.
You don't need to wrap it and your name do not tell... for it's just a little something for (bride)'s wishing well.
