Some of my favorite moments happened on the dance floor, one is getting my dance on with my friend Johnny. My most favorite moments was when one of DH's nieces came over to me, gave me a hug and called me aunt for the first time.

my other favorite thing was when DH surprised me by singing 'How Sweet it is' during the reception. it was so cute!!!! Some of it is on you tube. I think its under 'Sergio sings to his bride.' But Im not sure...

Me too I am a big Freestyle fan as well. Funny thing I never told him to play freestyle and towards the end he just started playing it then put that song on I was hysterical. I secretly loved the added attention

DH also use to blast that song when he was in HS way before he even met me. People use to ask him where his girl Maria was

I LOVED TKA; I was obsessed when I was younger. Except I always changed it from Maria to Silvana when I sang it.

One of the greatest things for me was seeing my grandmother dancing all night and seeing how happy she was.

My grandmother has been suffering with things since she was in her 30's. Doctors couldnt figure out what it was, she has been on so much medication since she was young. She has slight dementia, and other mental health problems. My cousin says she has a form of schizophrenia, not serious where you hear voices but my cousin who is a psychology major explained it all to me. She does well when she is on her meds but off her meds she has been hospitalized in the past. Also my grandfather died in november of 06 and she has been living alone overseas, she didnt want to move in with family. She came 6 months before my wedding to be here for everything. She lives her life by the church and all day just cooks and cleans and all her life was about doing things for others. At my wedding we all were shocked, but she danced all night long, she was jumping up and down and all over the dancefloor. Dh and BIL kept dancing with her, spinning her all over the dancefloor. My dad was so worried and thought maybe she was drinking bc he had never seen her like that, and kept asking us to watch her. She had more energy than i did, and couldnt believe how much she was jumping up and down. Seeing how happy she was and how much she enjoyed herself was a great gift.

She had to go back in june, her meds were running out plus her visa is only for 6 months here and 6 months there. Dh cried so much when she left, he seriously wouldn't stop. She is coming back in december, and cant wait to have her back, were trying to get her permanent residency

when i got my proofs recently, i see my grandma all over the dancefloor, cant wait to see video of her getting down but thank you.

Awww i am soooo sorry i can only imagine how hard it was, she was the only grandparent i had there and that was hard. Dh only had 1 grandparent there too. It was his grandmother, and i would say the one thing that pisses me off more than anything is that Dh didnt get a pic with her and its his families fault, not parents but other family members. AG came up to us in the beginning of the night to take pics of us with our grandmothers, i went looking for DH's grandmother but somebody took her to the bathroom or something, i couldnt find her, so AG said she'll come back to take it. Ok well then we started with speech, and other things in the beginning to get out of the way. AG came up to me again and said to take a pic with joes grandmother. I go over to the table and ask where she is and they tell us that they sent her home i was so shocked, they couldnt even get us to say goodbye to her, its joes only living grandparent, she helped raise him and all along i just prayed she would make it for our wedding. She was in the hospital right before our wedding, she is 93 years old. I was so upset, his aunts and uncles made a big deal before the wedding about bringing her and they said they didnt even want to bring her just bc nobody wants to leave to take her home early, meanwhile we got a car for her. Well since nobody wanted to watch her anymore they sent her off home early. When dh found out she went home, he was so sad and started tearing that he didnt get a pic with her.

1. My sister completely impressed with her speech. It was beautiful and touching. I was so proud of her. She spoke so gracfully, better then I could ever do. I just felt like she was so beautiful and spoke so elegantly.

2. My BP was so much fun. Everyone of them got the crowd going. I mean, it was a dance party. They danced with each other and all of the guests. I remember just stopping and taking it all in and thinking, this wedding is so much fun. The dance floor was packed and that is what we wanted. We also did a lot of traditional Italian dancing and chair lifting-this was great! By the end of the night I had my guests begging the band for one more song and we had already extended our party by and hour! Later family said that our wedding was the best they ever attended. That was a good feeling. I also really enjoyed dancing all night with my hubby. Other then to eat, we didn't get off the dance floor

We invited one of my first cousins that I hadn't seen in a long time. He lives in Virginia and has some health problems. I didn't think that he would come, but he did.

I didn't tell anyone except my Mom.

The guests that are related to him were so surprised to see him...especially since he kinda looks like my Dad (who passed away in 2000) and his Dad (my Dad's brother who passed away before my Dad).

It meant SO much to me that he came to the wedding.....

Thats so upsetting!!! I would have been so upset as well!!!
I have 3 living gparents and dh has 2. Both of his were at the wedding all night and enjoyed themselves. my one grandpa had a medical issue the week before the wedding and ended up not making it. Both my moms parents came for the wedding and my grandpa was fine at the rehearsal dinner, but the next day he got a stomache virus and didn't make it to the wedding. it was out of anyones control, but I felt so bad because I knew he was upset.

My nephew who is only and my ring bearer was so good and did everything he was supposed to do. He was so great and so freaking cute. Pics soon

And my Bil's speech was so funny and good. He is funny in general but I have known him longer then Dh and he has some stuff on me that came out and now my family thinks I'm ana lcholoic. haha, jk, but it was one of speech's ever

Just the whole night was great. People we haven't seen in a long time came and everyone had. Some people wrote a letter to my FIL saying that they have never been to a wedding like that before and they had a great time

1. FIL is a retired Inspector, he was able to get the NCPD Pipes and Drum, the whole troop to come and play during our reception~it was awesome and DH was SOOO happy! Complete surprise.

2. DHs best friend who was supposed to be his BM passed away about 5 months after we got engaged. DH made his younger brother his BM, so that we didnt forget him that day all the boys had red ribbons pinned behind their lapels. It was important for us to remember him somehow without upsetting his parents who struggled up until that day on whether they could handle coming. They did. I had given our DJ one song that HAD to be played, 'I come from a land down under' by men at work. If you knew this kid you knew he loved this song! So the song comes on and I looked at DH, within 10 seconds the boys were standing with us in tears!!! It was a moment I wont ever forget!

3. MIL falling and sliding across the dance floor like she was on a slip and slide I cried until i almost peed my pants!

Me SIL and i had a moment... and it truely was the best moment of the day!

we were in the bridal suit me her and my MOH and the bridal attendant she was bustling my dress and my SIL and MOH were holding it up... mind you my SIL and MOH were trashed (which was AWESOME and i was totally jealous!!)

anyway i look over at my sil and shes hysterical crying i mean like balling.. i say 'sissy whats the matter?' and her response..' i've waited 24 years to have a sister and now i have one and im just so happy!' well me and my MOH completely lost it and i totally saw the bridal att. tearing up! But truely we have this bond that i wouldnt trade for the world i love her like my real SISTER (im crying writing this) it was just so heartfelt when she said it and i love her!!

p.s. 2 months later every time we call each other we say 'sister?' not HELLO! its so cool!

Ok I have a few but the first one is the best....

While getting ready in the morning my sister starts playing a mix she made of all wedding related songs and songs that are related to me and my life and DH. She also typed up little paragraphs about me and DH for every song! It was very special and I teared up a lot. For instance one was Aint No Other Man - Christina Aguilera and the paragraph read - In Jennas eyes, there was 'no other man' that could stand up to Matt. She couldn't stand to be apart from him and has been 'hooked ever since'. He was perfect for her in every way. Matt loves Jenna, treats her well, and they share a lot in common.

Writing our own vows was very special and I pat myself on the back for getting over my stage fright and panic mode about public speaking!

Tom, a singer in our band, sang an Andre Bocelli song that blew everyone away! It gave me the chills and made me cry.

The anniversary dance - both DH and I have grandparents who both are married 60+ years!

My sisters FH did the worm, the pictures are priceless!

everything was just so great = = having all your friends and family there to celebrate with you and they were truly truly happy for us since it took so long to happen - - it was like a glow in the room,

but the most touching was the toast by dh's brother and my cousin wrote a poem.
