went from 8 letters to 5 but since I have not officially changed my name yet I still use my maiden name

I am still using my maiden and probably always will for work. DH and I work in the same business and then you get the 'Ohhhhhhhh you're married to _______' conversation if you use it professionally. And not for nothing, here to talk about business, not my husband.

I used my married name though when I went to the doc a few weeks ago because I'm already on his insurance, bc mine ******....and I didn't answer when they called me into the office, lolol

i hear ya! i was waiting in a waiting room the other day and they were like colleen miller? and i was like OOO yeah thats me! freaking crazy...colleen owens just flows and sounds better to me, but i guess i gotta get use to the MILLER ! ha it is tattooed to my body!

aww that is like me too, i feel like i lost some of my 'italianess' bc i dont really look italian, but my name proved i was! now im like some english loser...

OMg... handwerker.. lol i just told DH and he was like whhaaaaat LOL

My new name is 1 letter longer... i think im liking my new name better than my old... no complaints here...

i have things under both names and like some of you here, i forget which name i used for what

My new name is shorter by one letter. I'm lucky though - I'm getting used to it pretty quickly since I'm a teacher and my students are really trying to make the switch!

My last name was 8 letters
My new one is 7 letters

and I'm the i d i o t who decided to hyphenate and now I sign like a million letters.

BUT when I'm talking or introducing myself or someone asks my name I totally forget and say my maiden name ALL the time.

One of my bosses at work said to me the other day 'not only do you have a horrible last name now but you cant even spell 'worker' correctly' haha geeeee thanks buddy
