Re: What is the division of labor ...

I work in an office and DH works from home, teaches lessons outside the home, and works in a studio out east. We try to do everything together split up. But I always am the one to make the bed. LOL. And I have yet to see him scrub the shower, although he does scrub the toilet cus I dont scrub it hard enough. Usually he emptys the dishwasher and I load it. I like to say I do more, but usually its even.

Re: What is the division of labor ...

We both do our own laundry, but I do the towels and the sheets...I don't like the way he folds!

Neither one of us really cooks...but if one does cook or pay for the take out, the other cleans it up and does the dishes.

I definitely do more housework than he does....but that is the OCD in me. I wish he had OCD too!

Re: What is the division of labor ...

Him:
Cooks
Does dishes
Takes out garbage

Me:
Clean
Laundry

He's a better cook and he gets home a lot earlier than I do. He def does his share, but he is a freaking slob. I will just finish cleaning and he will track mud through the whole apt. He's never going to change that, so I accepted it B4 we got married!!!!!

I work a lot more than DH, so he actually does most of the cooking, cleaning and laundry

this is our household too.

Re: What is the division of labor ...

I cook 100% of the time, DH will eat cereal before he cooks lol, BUT he does the dishes every night

Cleaning we split most of the time , Id say its 60% me 40% DH

Laundry we send out for it, it is so much easier and saves us a ton of fighting

Re: What is the division of labor ...

I have to say girls...DH does most of it. He cooks, cleans, does his own laundry and will do mine if ask. He grocery shops, takes out the trash and does all the handyman work.

I am very lucky. I do the heavy cleaning (scrubing the bathrooms and kitchen, dusting all the rooms) change the sheets, etc.

According to him I do the girl stuff, make sure gifts are bought, cards are sent things like that.

Re: What is the division of labor ...

We both pretty much do everything. The only thing DH does that I refuse to is take out the garbage.
