Finally! My 1/24/2004 Review with pics

Hello Ladies, I am back!
First of all I want to say that my wedding was the best day of my life! It was awesome, there were some problems, but overall it was amazing!!
And I want to thank everyone on here for all of their help and advice. I never would have pulled this off without you ladies. Hubby even thanks you all cuz we got so many compliments on all the little touches that we had.
So, here goes...(hopefully I remember everyone)

Flowerama's Bridal in Elmont...10+++++
These ladies were wonderful, the measurements were right on for all the girls, no alterations besides the bustle on my dress and hardly any on most of the girls. My sister ordered her dress in a smaller size cuz she thought she would lose weight and it didn't happen. Two weeks before the wedding they got her another dress and didn't even charge her for it. Christine was absolutely amazing, she made sure everything was perfect for all the girls.

Amityville Men's Shop...10
Warren was great, all the tuxes fit great, were in a week before the wedding, and when Hubby forgot to order the handkerchiefs he reminded us and got them in in a day.

Andre's Hair Salon...10
Fran did my hair and four of my bridesmaid's. She did such a nice job, each person's hair was different, totally fitting their personality. And everyone's hair lasted the whole day.

Wyndham Windwatch...9
The hotel is really beautiful and overall the service was good. I was a little unhappy about the fact that there were no bellhops when we checked in and a few times we went to the front desk and the girls would be on personal phone calls and didn't get off. The family was pretty satisfied, though, they said when they called for cribs they arrived in about five minutes.

Jack and Rose...10++++++++++++++
What can I say about this man that hasn't already been said. He was wonderful! My flowers were perfect, way better than I ever expected. They were there at exactly the time he said they would be, and there was even a dozen white roses in a vase thrown in. Which was really nice to have when we got back to the room that nite. I can't thank him enough or say enough nice things about him. I was told by two florists that they couldn't get my flowers at all and he came through with no problems!

RJ Limo's...10++
Great company, great drivers, great vehicles. After all the limo horror stories I have heard, I was worried about this most of all. They showed up on time, the cars were immaculate, and the drivers were so together. They thought of everything that I forgot. My flowergirl's parent's car broke down and the limo bus driver went right away to get them with no questions asked. The cars were clean and comfortable, and I think the best part was that instead of having a town car take us to the airport we had a full white stretch!

Yes, this is another one of those reviews where I love almost everyone. Chris was amazing. He played every song we asked for, kept the people moving all night long, and made the whole nite fun. I have had more people come up to me asking who our DJ was cuz they absolutely loved him. Every request was played, he had every song right there from Metallica to Dexy's Midnite Runners. He really made the party. And I have to thank him for doing a bangup job on our first dance/spotlight dance. He really wowed us with that.

Thank you so much Carol. My proofs are amazing! Unfortunately I don't have a scanner so I can't put them up here yet. But take my word for it, the pics are amazing. They are so beautiful. Dan and I look like we never have or ever will in these pictures. Plus, she was never intrusive and we made it to almost our whole cocktail hour. This with a wedding party of 18 people, plus family, plus friends, etc.etc.
And we stopped for drinks on the way to the reception hall so we were about half an hour late.

Fire Island Grill...10
We had the rehearsal dinner here. The food was amazing, the service was great and the price was definitely right. As soon as I saw the menu here I knew we should do it and I am so happy with the decision. It was a great nite and everyone was really happy.

Bagpiper...10
I used Kevin off this website and he was great. So many people commented on how nice it was. He played before and after the wedding and it was incredible. There is no way to describe how good he sounded but take my word for it, I guess.

Parish of the Holy Cross...10
This is my regular church, so I really knew what to expect. I want to thank them though for making sure all the ice and snow were cleared away and the church was really nice and clean. The ceremony was beautiful and Deacon Gerry was awesome.

The Vineyard Caterers...9.5
To those getting married here don't worry. If you are getting married here in nice weather there won't be a problem. We got married on a 5 degree day and the only complaint I have is that the patio room where the cocktail hour was, was freezing. Other than that, the wedding was amazing. We had the best time, the food was great(although I didn't eat any), and everyone loved it. The maitre'd 'John' was an absolute doll. He always made sure that we had fresh drinks, made sure every guest was happy and kept the whole show running smoothly. Again, I want to thank the whole staff at The Vineyard for a wonderful night.

Sandal's St. Lucia...10
All-Inclusive is the way to go! We had a blast. The island is beautiful and the resort is great. You can't beat drinking and eating for free! Not really, but it feels that way. The resort is really nice and they were very accomodating. We were originally booked at the Halcyon and they moved us to the Regency so they gave us a better room and a free couples massage. The food was great and the island is really pretty.

So that's the review! Very long, hopefully I don't sound too sappy. The only other thing I can say is enjoy the day. I did, I didn't let any of the little stuff really get to me and the whole day was amazing. Again, it was the best day of my life. I wouldn't have changed a thing. And now, the pics.

Your pics are great! How did you mnage to get up on your chair with that dress .

I noticed your a Jack and Rose Bride. What time did they show up with the flowers? Did you get them early enough so they could take pictures?

They were there at 11:00 am on the button. I actually had to leave where I was getting my hair done to meet the delivery man, (extemely prompt), he insisted on bringing everything up to the room for me. There was plenty of time, my photographer didn't get there until 12:30 pm.
First pic was at the hotel.
Second is one of my bridesmaids.
Third is my bouquet.
Just to give you an idea of the flowers.
He did exactly what I wanted!
