I can't believe it's all over:(:( I never thought I would be one to say that but I really am sad. As much as I THOUGHT I hated planning the wedding, I really did enjoy it. And let me tell you girls that put all the little details. They REALLY DO get noticed. I have gotten over a dozen letters and phone calls about all the little details that went into the wedding.

We had such a fabulous day. There weren't any major things that happened. Actually the worst I can think of was the wrong cake top was on the cake (was supposed to be precious moments and instead my B&G statue was up there) The cake looked beautiful and everyone actually complimented the cake top That honestly was the worst of the day...oh, except for the weather:( It never rained but by the time we got to cocktail hour it was SO FOGGY you couldn't even see the water at John Anthonys, I'm not kidding, you saw the railing and WHITE, that was it!! My brother saw us taking pictures and said it looked really cool, I just just hope they come out nice.

INVITATIONS - Gail @ Simply Elegant....A+ She is a vendor on this board. She was so great to work with us. She sat for hours while we decided. The prices were great and she was VERY fast. We also got cocktail napkins and GMs shotglasses from her.

DAVIDS BRIDAL.....A+ Carle Place. I know many girls have had major problems with them but I had NONE. When I got my dress they had to order a smaller size. They told me 3 months and it was in in 2 months. My girls got their dresses there, again no problems. They came in early too and everyones fit pretty perfectly except for minor alterations. Flower girls got their dresses there, no problems and my MIL got her dress there with no problems. I found most (except for one) of the women there very helpful (although I like to be left alone) and I really had a great experience with them. I must say though I DID NOT get any of the dresses altered there.

ALTERATIONS - Karin Ynesdotter (sp?)........A+ Karin was so great. She was helpful and very insightful. She took out SO MUCH material from under my dress (they had the crinoline about 4 sizes bigger than the dress) It didn't fall right before but she made it perfect. The day of the wedding it was a little bit long and my straps fell sometimes when I sat but I think that's b/c I told her to let the straps out a little b/c I was afraid they were too tight. I highly reccommend her!!

SHOES...Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook A+ Great. Great shoes, very comfortable, great price, Nice guy.

Veil/Headpiece...VASSA....A+ Can I tell you what a doll she is. I have been best friends with her family basically my whole life. Vassa is the greatest at what she does. I used to work with her for a caterer and she started brial tending there (over 10 yrs ago) She is so perfect at what she does. She has a vision and it was so helpful. She came over looked at my dress, I gave her some pictures of ideas (told her I didn't want rhinestones)and wala she came up with this amazing pearl headpiece that matched my dress perfectly!!! If I wanted anything changed, she changed it and made it even better!! I told her for my veil I wanted the best of both worlds. Big and high for the ceremony and low (behind my hair) for the reception. It started at 2 tiers and she then added a piece to make it three tiers (the third detatched).
Not only did she make that for me, but she helped me (as a bridal attendant) through the WHOLE wedding. She was in the back of the church with me calming my nerves and primped me ALL DAY. I promise you girls if you use her you WILL NOT be disappointed. And the best part is.....SHE IS NOW A VENDOR ON THIS BOARD...under bridal attendant)

TUXES...LuMarrs (valley steream) C
At first we were really happy with them. The guy that helped us was so sweet and really took his time with us (we were there 2 days). BUT......the day before the wedding wasn't so good. Most everyone had SOMETHING wrong with their tux. They did fix everything so we can't complain too bad. The things I will complain about are ...my brothers and father were there for 1 1/2 hrs (they were late for rehearsal). Everything eventually got fixed but the day of the wedding...THEY FORGOT MY FATHERS TIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dad had to use Steve's (Patken) tie until they brought him on!!!!! (They did rush it to the church though and he had it before the ceremony started) Of course they didn't tell me this until AFTER the ceremony (Thank God!!)

Grooms Cake....Carvel...A+ OK. At first I was going to go with the traditional grooms cake but I wanted a Mustang (DH LOVES those cars) but I was afraid it would look like a little kids car so I decided to go with the carvel cake with the picture on it. Ken just rebuilt his old '83 Mustang so I had a picture of it and ha dit on the cake. He was sooooooooooo happy and surprised!!!!

Rehearsal Dinner...Villa Marias East Rockaway....A+ Pina was so great to work with. There was sooooo much food and everyone loved it.

Hair/Makeup TECHNICOLORS (Rockville Centre) A I go there all the time so I wasn't taking any chances. I was a little afraid b.c for the trial I had a lot more hair down and never had another trial but I ended up LOVING my hair. I got SO MANY compliments. My makeup girl was deathly ill so someone else had to do it but it looked beautiful. The bad part was I was a help hour late and Steve (Patken) was waiting at my moms for me

Photos..PATKEN (Steve) A Steve was so great to work with. He's really sweet. I barely knew he was there all night (after the pictures) It scares me a little b/c I hope he took a lot of pictures. My proofs are in so I will see this week. The one thing I regret is I wish we would have taken the family pictures outside. The weather wasn't great (but it didn't rain) We had no time to stop anywhere and we took the pictures in the church. I don't know why he chose to do that but we were wrong for not saying anything. Oh well, you get cought up and forget The pictures at JAs (outside) hopefully came out good b/c of all the fog.

Video...ADVANCED MULTIMEDIA A+ David was really sweet. Again, didn't see him much but I know he was around. Peopel told me he got a lot of footage of people dancing. We'll see when we get the video. By the way, we are SOOOOOOOOOO happy we got a video. There is so much you miss during the wedding ( I even msised the FGs which I heard were very funny)

ROYALTY LIMOS.....A+ They were great. On time, limo was clean. Jeff was the driver and he wanted to help me in the church but I had Vassa there so he didn't have to. Really sweet guy. BTW....LOVED the Hummer. Everyone got a BIG kick out of it. For whoever was asking, there was PLENTY of room. We had very tall guys and two 5'11 girls and everyone had PLENTY of room. It ran like a charm and was a huge hit. Highly reccommended!!!!!!!!
