Mini Review of my wedding at Smithtown Landing

Sorry for the late review but better late than never . I am really doing it for the benefit of future Smithtown Landing brides. There aren't many reviews, so I want to let people know that I selected that venue over many others (cost was not a factor really) and was thoroughly satisfied. Best group of people to make your day truly memorable! This was a second wedding for both of us and we just wanted a laid back location with beautiful grounds where our combined families, our children and friends would be comfortable and relaxed and could have lots of fun. They certainly delivered.

My wedding day on October 7, 2011 was a perfect fall day: sunny 69 degrees. I used my regular hairdresser and Christyann Cosmetics for my makeup. I was very happy with the results.

I used Pastor April Gismondi and she was simply amazing. Funny, thoughtful, kind, eloquent, moving. Everyone raved about how lovely and personalized our wedding was.

DJ was Parties Alive and they also provided live jazz music for the cocktail hour and a live percussionist, up lighting! Zap shots, etc. they were great, music was awesome and the floor was packed all night. I used a separate group to play string during the ceremony (Vivo Strings) and they were great, punctual, professional, affordable and played beautiful music.

M and V Limo was fine. Clean and on time.

I used Park Avenue Studios for pictures and video. The pictures came out great but he doesn't really do photojournalism like he had promised. Hes also a bit weird innthat he warned us to keep the zap shot guy away from him - but it worked out fine. Overall I am happy with the pics. I totally love the edited video and watch it all the time. Best wedding memory ever and always puts a smile on my face and warm thoughts of that day.

I used In Full Bloom for my flowers and Chris was great and did an amazing job with everything.

Wedding Designs (Rosalie) was my day of coordinator and one of the best decisions i ever made. If you can afford it, and she's not expensive, it is money well spent. She looked after my mom, my two year old flower girl, held my purse and cell, was there every step of the way taking care of all the details for me.

My dress was a Jenny Packham to die for. Simple and classy and grecian looking - just what I wanted. The guys used RSVP Tuxedo.

Smithtown Landing was the best! Rich, Joe and Patti! Wow! We chose the venue because it's close to my husband's old house. He liked it more than I did initially but by the time all was said and done I couldn't be happier with his choice. They gave us half off on the Viennese table and extra dishes for the cocktail hour. They were accommodating in every way possible.

Our honeymoon was in Bali, Malaysia and Cambodia and was another dream come true after an extraordinary wedding day.
