My 12/27/03 Bridgeview Wedding

First, let me say thanks to all of you, even though I don't post alot, I read some great suggestions and advice which made planning from California easier!

Here goes...

The weather was absolutely beautiful, although a little 'dusting' of snow would have been nice!

BRIDGEVIEW YACHT CLUB - (CEREMONY & RECEPTION)...I can't tell you how wonderful they are at BYC!! From making plans with Kathy (catering manager) to saying goodnight to my bridal attendant (Jeannie) & our maitre'd (Daniel), they were the BEST!

We did not expect the place to be so beautifully decorated! - x-mas tree with lights, fireplace going, garland, wreaths and white lights throughout the whole restaurant!!

Our guests are still calling/e-mailing us about what a great place/fabulous food, etc..

We had the whole place to ourselves, so we had the ceremony upstairs, the cocktail hour downstairs in the smaller room and the reception in the 'ballroom'...

FLORIST - BLOSSOM HEATH IN OCEANSIDE
Let's just say that our guests were 'fighting' over who got to take a centerpiece home!
No complaints about the flowers whatsoever...

DJ - Friend of ours (He played Spanish & English music - FIL is from Spain as were half of our guests!)

BAND - HI-TEK...If anyone has ever seen this band play at the old Jackson Square in RVC or during the summer at Montego Bay in Island Park, then you know that the dance floor was PACKED all night

VIDEO - 3RD PLANET VIDEO...Very professional and unobtrusive...can't wait to see it (thanks Nadine )

The only mishap during the whole night was the cake was not what we had ordered..(right frosting and filling but they gave us 2 round layers instead of 3 stacked 'x-mas' presents)..I didn't make a BIG thing out of it (its only cake)...

I can't believe its over already..:( Just remember at some point during the night that you and your husband take a step back and look at your guests having such a great time - I even went around the room and took pictures with my digital camera - got some great candids:)

Congrats and I'm so happy to hear that your wedding was wonderful at BYC. For a while, I thought I was the only one getting married there. Please post pics. when you get back from your honeymoon.

Hello! I am considering the Bridgeview Yacht Club for my wedding, actually strongly considering, but I am very very worried about their dance floor. Its not your typical dance floor and I find that its hard to move around on it. Was this a problem for you or your guests? Thanks and congratulations!!!

I'm having my wedding at BYC. In my own opinion, I don't think the dance floor is a problem, since it's a club in the summer time. Good luck. Nancy.
