Review

First off, I need to thank LIW. I would not have had the wedding I had if it wasn’t for this site. Thank you Ron, Liz, and Kim for LIW. It was such a great resource. I found mostly all of my vendors from this site. I had such great advice from you girls, and though I only went to one G2G, I feel like I know so many of you girls just through posting every day with you. I cant thank you enough!


Chateau La Mer- A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When DH and I walked into this place, we fell in love. We compromised and made our wedding a Sunday because it was the only day we could have here. We loved the main ballroom downstairs. The high ceilings and the marble floor, and the floor to ceiling windows...sigh! Nick was soooo nice, and we met George the owner who was also really cool. We felt comfortable with them, and they weren't like salesmen which a of other places were like. The food tasting sold us. The day of was perfect. We didnt get the yacht arrival or outdoor cocktail hour, but CLM did such a great job. People keep raving about our wedding. The food was out of this world. A lot of people got the second entree. Everyone talked about the Chilean Sea Bass, and the food in the CH (paella, pig, etc were all a big hit!) The staff was great. Nick is soooo great to work with..perfect customer service., My only complaint is during CH it was like a sauna!!!! I had to leave the room. We had 200 people and it was supposed to be indoor/outdoor, so I guess that was the problem, but it was BAD. Thankfully, the food was sooo good it made up for it, but i felt bad for my guests. Other than that, it was perfect! I want to go to a wedding there, so I can enjoy it again.















Church- Maria Regina- A+++

Everyone was soo nice here. I grew up in this church, so it was nice to get married here as well. Pre Cana was awesome.







Weather D

One of my biggest worries was about rain. I always wanted to have a wedding on the water. I fell in love with CLM’s outdoor cocktail area, and the boat ride. I also loved the inside, the food, Nick/customer service, but the views were beautiful. This was out of my hands and I think I took it pretty well. I saw the weather reports the night before and I tried to mentally prepare myself. The day of, I was ok with it. It rained more on the day we got married than all summer! The wind was insane. It took people 4 hours to drive home to NJ and 2+ hours to drive from LI to Queens. Im just glad everyone had fun and got home safely. I didn’t let the weather ruin my day. I laughed while we took pictures outside and the wind was blowing my veil and everyone’s hair all over the place. Looking back, I wish we could have had that outdoor cocktail hour, but OH WELL! It was the best day of my life. So girls, try not to stress or worry about this. Yeah, it suckks, but we got some SICK pictures outside because of the sky. Everyone loved looking outside CLM and seeing the crazy weather, and it’s something people will never forget about our day. Hahaha Don’t let it ruin your day!

B party- Wineries –experience A+++

Elegant Wine Tour LI loses points because we were supposed to go to 3 wineries, plus that good pi place out there. We didn't go the the pie place, and we got back home about 15/20 mins behind schedule and he charged my girls an extra hour. The girls already had to pay more because some people backed out, so I thought this was a bit rude, especially since we missed part of the tour. Still had an amazing time. I recommend this idea for a bparty, but not sure if I'd recommend the company.





Shower A+
My mom and bridal party through it at my mom's house. I was completely surprised and they did such a great job!!

Rehearsal Dinner- A+++
This was also at our house and it was great. Both my shower and RD were catered by Great White Deli in Massapequa. Food was delicious. Everyone was happy and complimented on it.







Dress- Bridal Reflections Massapequa B/C

I think Bridal Reflections is overpriced. I was in a rush, and I wish I looked elsewhere because I could have got the same dress for cheaper. Dealing with them was ok. I wasn't a huge fan of the seamstress. She wouldnt listen to me and my bustle was not done right. I'm annoyed about that. The buttons should have been further apart to see the details on my train. The dress was also a little wrinkled when we picked it up.












Mom’s dress- Bridal Reflections

I thought her dress was beautiful. She was annoyed with the customer service there. They told her she could use a coupon, but then wouldn't let her.



Veil- ebay Venus veils A+
I got an amazing veil for $16 bucks on ebay. It was basically the same veil at Bridal Reflections, but it cost over $200 bucks there! Go with ebay. I didn’t even think I wanted a veil, but I’m so happy I got it. I thought I would take it off right away, but I had it on most of the night! It completed the outfit and I loved how it looked with my hair and hairpiece. It was two tier, had rhinestones on it.






DOJ- Bridal Reflections A
Loved the bracelet my mom bought me
Necklace- my husband bought from Tri County as a gift and he said the lady was very helpful
Earrings I borrowed from my mom





Hairpiece- Barron's A++++
I loved this!!!! I bought it a few days before the wedding and I think it really added to my overall look. I got a lot of compliments on it and I think it really added to my hair and dress!! Im obsessed with it!!!
I wasn’t sure what I wanted. Something on the side or a headband. The woman there was sooo helpful. She showed me this piece last and I fell in love. I was planning on wearing it in the back, but I’m so happy Jenn put it on the side I think it looked awesome. I was going to sell it because it was over $100 and I felt silly spending that, but I cant let it go now. I think it’s gorgeous. Maybe I’ll pass it on to my sister or future daughter.





Shoes- Sandy's Shoes A
They were very helpful. My mom and sister got shoes there too. Im in love with my shoes! Very comfy. I also got bridal slippers there that are soooo comfy!




Tux- Bonaventure Tuxedo A++++

Andy was GREAT to work with. So helpfully, excellent customer service, quality tuxes for a GREAT price! Mention LIW. He really hooked us up with prices. We went to three other places and were happiest here!







Invitations- A+++ Invitations by Joan- she works out of her home in Floral Park and is a family friend. She does great work and also does stuff with favors. I highly recommend her!!




Unity candle A++
A girl on here made it. FM if you want her information. It was great dealing with her through emails. She showed me different proofs and worked with me. It was gorgeous. Very happy with it! My deacon also had us say the quote on the unity candle together at the end before we kissed. I didn’t tell him to do that. I don’t know if he saw the unity candle or if that was part of his plan, but I loved it!!! The quote was 'From this moment on, you shall never be alone. My heart will be your shelter..My arms will be your home.'





Bubbles- Barb (GRKBARBIE) A

Shout out to (Barb) GrkBarbie for hooking me up with bubbles and purple baskets. You rock! They were great to use after the ceremony. No stains or anything like that to worry about.


Oksana- A++++++++++++

I love, love, love her!! I want her to do my makeup everyday. She is the sweetest and so great to work with. She did my bpics makeup also and they came out stunning! I never like when people do my makeup except my sister and Oksana! She did my mom's and sister's makeup too and they looked beatiful. Oksana seriously made me feel sooo beautiful on my wedding day, and that's something I dont often feel. Love her!










Jenn the Hair Genie A+++
I love her sooo much too. She is so fun to work with. I wanted extensions because Ive always had long hair, but I cut 11 inches to donate right before we got engaged. Jen's extensions are awesome and for a great price. Only problem was the curls didn’t stay all night, but it was a CRAZY windy and rainy day so that is understandable. I loveeed how she did my hair. She was also really helpful the morning of with my girls dresses and helping my flower girl with her hair. Love Jen!!








Brides Maid Dress/Flower Girl- Burton’s A

They had the best prices and I called A LOT of places. The girls were happy with them. I got the flowergirl dress here.
The dresses are Bari Jay.

Flower Shop of Farmingdale A

At first, I was worried about this vendor. But, the day of, flowers were perfect!!!!!! They were just what I wanted and everything was delivered on time and fresh. Very happy with them. It's a local flower shop in Farmingdale, and I highly recommend them!










Cake- Campbell's Bakery A
We went with the bakery for CLM. Soooo good. Red velvet and some tiers were raspberry mousse. The red velvet was better. soooo good!


dj/uplighting After hours A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

One of my favorite vendors. Phil' customer service is PERFECT! He got back to me right away at any time of day/night. Music is everything to my husband and me, so this was sooo important for us. We went to a lot of places, but felt like they offered us the best package. We had Brett as the dj and Carlton as the mc. They were GREAT!!!!!!! Everyone was dancing all night long. Brett listened to what we wanted and played nothing on our do not play list. We didn't want stuff like Lady Gaga and pop music they play today and he did what we wanted! Love them so so much! I couldn't be happier. They exceeded our expectations.

We also got uplighting through them and the room was GORGEOUS! It was purple for most of the night, and the last hour the colors changed to the beat of the music. I can not recommend this company enough!

This was our dance floor all night!



My husband and I even danced, and we never dance!





Limos- Tran Star Executive B/C

The day of they were great. Driver was on time, and no issues. They had the best prices, and I think I would recommend them because the day of they were perfect. Just some annoying things. There was a misunderstanding and they didnt come pick my husband and myself up at the end of the wedding. I think it was because I called them asking about driving to the airport, but you had to pay for Newark so I said nevermind. Since my contract stated complimentary ride home, I didn't ask them again about it. But it never showed. So they gave us a ride home from Newark and we only had to pay tolls, but they charged me $176. They fixed it when I called, but just annoying little things like that. They are very nice, and do a nice job for a great price, but just watch what they charge you and make sure you remind them about the complimentary ride home!

We had the limo bus and it was nice and clean!

We got the picture cardbox. Pretty easy to put together, but we couldn't get it to lock right. I guess I didn't put it together right! It's very nice though. One of my mom's friend made us that centerpiece for the escort table. It was beautiful!



Favors A++++++++ Trader Joe's wine

We knew we wanted wine. Trader Joe's 2.99 wine was perfect for us since we had 200 people. The Cabernet is soooo good. People were asking us what it was because they liked it so much. I ordered labels on ebay and they were gorgeous. They I got organza bags and Jordan Almonds (almonds on Amazon for cheap), and we had a beautiful favor!



Rings- Jewelry Shop in Farmingdale but I can't think of the name right now..need to look it up.

Kay was great to work with...great deals, and great selection.




Photography/video- Thomas Paul A+++++++++++++++++++

Tom and Tony and Sean (video) were great to work with. Tom's customer service is superb! His pictures are amazing. I'm very happy with my proofs. There are a few pictures I wish we could have had, but overall, I am very happy and I know our album is going to be amazing. His package gave us sooo much for a great price. Hopefully, the video is good too. I cant say yet, but cant wait to see it. Mostly all of this pictures are by TP. Here are some other ones, I love.
