My July 15, 2011 Wedding- Inn at New Hyde Park

LIW- A+++++- Thank you Ron, Liz, and Kim. I am so thankful that this website exists. I learned so much from all the past brides and the brides to be. It's wonderful to be able to vent and get advice. Thanks to everyone who has given me advice during our engagement.

Hair- Hair by Tara- I learned about her when I took my pictures with Jen. Jen said she was excellent with hair extensions. I gave her a try and she was amazing. If someone is still looking for a person to come to your home and do your hair, I highly recommend her.

Makeup- CC Makeup Artistry (Sandra Baldini's sister (Christina) and Vivianne B- They arrived on time and made my bridesmaids and I so calm all morning long. I did airbrush makeup with lashes and the smoky eye look. My makeup stayed on and was so happy with it.

Flowers- *B*urtons-- They did a wonderful job with my flowers. I loved the feather look in the bouquets. I gave them the feathers and they put them in the bouquets for me. The centerpieces looked amazing. I paid $ 50 extra to upgrade them because I wanted no fillers. They arrived on time and the flowers were very fresh. Also, I gave them by bouquet cuff that I purchased off Etsy. They said they would try to make it fit. Turns out the day of, they returned my cuff because it didn't fit. They found bouquet wrap and put it on. I loved my bouquet. I actually sent it out to Keepsake Floral to have it preserved.

Photography- Duet Alberto- Alberto and his team were amazing to work with. They arrived on time and were very professional. I have to wait five more weeks to see my proofs. He told me that day that he and his wife were expecting their first baby and the due date was on my wedding day. He made me feel better by telling me he had a backup photographer available just incase that happened.
He took our engagement pictures at DUMBO as well.

Church- St. Mary Gate of Heaven- Ozone Park Queens- This church is just breathtaking. I went to elementary school there. DH and I got married here because his firehouse is in Ozone Park and the deli where we first met was right across the street from the church. The people I used to work with made us a wonderful sign and hung it outside the store. We also went inside with Alberto to take some cute shots.

DJ, MC, Percussionist, and Lighting,- Satisfaction Guaranteed- Mineola, NY
They were amazing!! My dance floor was packed all night long. The MC got the crowd going and he also sang Sinatra at dinner. I highly recommend them.

Limo's- Camelot- They were amazing. I had a Bentley Arnage to take my dad and I to the church. We also had a 30 passenger party bus , and a Rolls Royce Phantom to take us home at the end of the night. The drivers were very professional and did a wonderful job. Joe also threw in a ride to the airport and pick up for our honeymoon.

Hotel Block- Hyatt Place Garden City- The rooms were beautiful and spacious. They provided us with a shuttle to take guests to the reception and back to the hotel at the end of the night.

Tuxedos- S&S Tuxedos- Hicksville- BIG FAT F
What can I say about them? Horrible!!!! I don't know how they were rated BEST OF LI by Long Island Press. They gave 2 of the groomsmen shoes that when they walked they were flopping. The buttons on their jackets were falling off. Thank goodness someone had a sewing kit on the bus. When we dropped off the tuxedos the following day, they tried to justify the broken shoes saying 'It was really hot that day, must have made the soles melt off. I don't know why this would happen, they are brand new shoes.' Where do we live the desert? It was 83 degrees and there was no humidity on my wedding day. Then one person proceeded to say 'They were made in China too' They didn't give us any refund whatsoever. We had 11 people get full tuxedo rentals from them. My father had ripped pants. DH had a ripped vest. We had to make an unexpected stop on the way to the church. My bridesmaids had to leave me early to go to the tuxedo place. I am extremely disappointed in their service and can't believe they would give people tuxedos and shoes in this condition.

Inn at New Hyde Park- A+ to Infinity!!!
They were amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious. The ballroom looked amazing. All the guests were raving about the food. Honeymoon- Excellence Playa Mujeres Mexico- A++++++++

What an amazing resort. I highly recommend it. My DH and I were treated like gold. The beaches were beautiful, the staff were at your beckon call. The drinks were amazing. The resort was so big and it was spotless. We loved Mexico and we swam with the dolphins.
