My May 15th Review

I had the best time at my wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect! The weather, although warm for May, was sunny. For being an out of town bride, there was lots to do at the last minute, but thanks to my mom and sister, everything got done, and I wasn't too stressed.

Coles House - Rehearsal Dinner - food was great, everything was wonderful, you don't even realize that there is a restaurant downstairs. Everything went well. My parents surprised me with a framed engagement picture of us, and everyone signed the mat around it. The flowers were perfect, they were done by the same florist I used for the wedding - so see below.

Florist - Designs by J. Kevin - he is in Mineola. He did a MAGNFICENT job! We were so pleased with the flowers. Everything was exactly what I wanted. They were all fresh, and my bouquet lasted well into the next day and a plane ride! He did the best kissing ball for the flower girl. The flowers were just perfect.

Reception: The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. I can't say enough wonderful things about them. All of the guest were impressed by the choice and quality of the food. Everything was delicious. The cocktail hour was plentiful. My bridal party stayed, for the most part, in the bridal suite for the cocktail hour. I loved doing this. It gave us a time to spend with our closest friends and it gave us the big introduction that my DH wanted. It was perfect. Well when the staff found out we were staying in the suite, they brought us mountains of food. They would have kept going if we didn't tell them to stop. Never once was there not someone right there for us. The Maitre'd Jane, did a phenomanal job. She was great. They were very easy to deal with the months before the wedding as well. Eileen was a pleasure to deal with. We received various notes, emails and calls from our guests just telling us what a wonderful job we did, and how much they loved the Metropolitan. Now we only had 125 people, and it fit great. I wouldn't do more then 160 people if you just wanted to use the downstairs portion. When it was time to leave, they had everything ready for us. It was raining, and they walked each guest to the car with an umbrella, the service was just wonderful.

DJ - Music By Michael - girls, everything you read about him on the boards is true. We booked him without ever meeting him. He made our party. He kept everyone dancing the whole night. He played our songs, and did exactly what we wanted! He was awesome. He even let our friend play his guitar and sing during the dinner. It was great. He is the nicest person to deal with.

Photographer/Videograhper - Ray from B rett M atthews. They were great to work with. And the proofs are amazing ( I wish I had a scanner) They were out of the way the whole reception, but caught all the best moments. They were very conciousness of your time, and didn't want to waste any of it. They were great. It was worth every penny we spent for them.

My dress and the girls dresss - I bought in GA, but had no problems with that.

Clique Limo - Great cars, great service, no problems, great drivers. Wonderful people to work with.

Honeymoon:
We did 7 nights in Maui. Stayed at the Kapalua Bay Hotel. Loved it. Our room was a deluxe ocean view. We could see the water from our bed. the staff was very great, very attentive and very good service. Loved the bike ride, rented a harley - cruised around the island, went snorkeling, did everything. only wish we could have stayed longer.
We did 3 days in Napa. Loved it too. Stayed at a great inn - The Villagio. However, I did wish we did these two as separate trips. We could have spent more time at each place.

Everything was just absolutely perfect. I'm so sad it is all over. I wish I could do it all over again!

Yes, just for you! I'm not a genius when it comes to posting pictures. I have more, but they are on ofoto - any ideas of how to get them off of there? The Cathedral was great. There was one frantic day with them, not knowing who was going to marry us - Dean Cardone was supposed to do it, but it all worked out in the end. Everyone loved the Cathedral. It was just so beautiful!

OMG I heard about the Dean's son but it never connected that it was close to your date. Who ended up marrying you?

Yes, it was horrible about the Dean's son. We had found out Tuesday before the wedding. But all worked out. Bishop Michael married us. Which was nice, he knows a lot of my family. I will try putting them into Shutter Fly - I don't have the files for most of the pictures, but I will see what I can do. I wish I had a scanner.

You are lucky bishop michael is AMAZING I loved him in youth group YEARS ago. I'm glad it all worked out.

I caved in and bought a scanner when I got my proofs so I could post them here and share with my family.
