I went very very picture crazy! But here goes

To the brides getting married, everyone says it but it is so true….the day goes by so fast so enjoy every second!! Take some time to look around at everything and everyone around you and take it all in! Do this a few times just step back and take a mental picture. If you can afford the extra hour, do it!!! It was so worth it! Because even with the extra time, I didn’t want it to end!!
Stay calm the entire day, remember you cant control things if something goes wrong, just roll with the punches and remember that you are marrying the love of your life and that is all that matters!

For my save the dates, I wanted something different and fun and someone rec’d Jessica to me so I gave her a try. Jessica had so many ideas for me and was easily able to capture exactly what I wanted. She had tons of patience with all my revisions. After my STDs worked out perfect, I went back to her for my menus, programs and chair signs, I showed her pics of what I had in mind and she replicated them and even made them better than what I had asked! She was fast and great quality! Not to mention she is super sweet!

Highly Rec! Hotel is gorgeous, service was top notch! Beds were sooo comfy! All the rooms there are suites which is nice. It is set back one building from the strip but not really an issue, there is a tram connected to the hotel that takes you to Bellagio or in opposite direction to the monte carlo.

Leslie is absolutely amazing! She is so sweet and so calm, the perfect person to do these types of photos. She made me feel so at ease that I never really noticed I was half naked! She did my shoot and my editing in the midst of being 8/9months prego with twins and delivered those twins in the midst of the editing process. Her style is very natural and she uses natural lighting for her photos, her photos are not over done or over edited but yet so glamorous, classy and beautiful! I went with Leslie over some of the other photographers on here not just because her style was more appealing but also because her packages had much more reasonable pricing. She gives you a disc of all your photos in high res, rather than just giving you, your photos in album. If I am going through all the work of taking these photos, I want the photos! Not just an album of them. I highly highly highly rec her! Her work speaks for itself! These pics are only what is suitable for online and do not do her work justice, check out her blog to see some better pics!

Both were similar in quality, however mixbook does not have “lay flat” pages, I found this out after I ordered it. I had a few pages where I spread one pic onto 2 pages and you lost some of the quality of the photo. I ordered the 2nd book through picaboo. I have no complaints.

Invitations

I definitely had my dream invitation!!! However, the service and the road to get there was not great! I have to preface this by saying, I went into the invite process with this company, knowing that their customer service was slow. The price of their invites and the quality and style of their work could not be beat nor could I find anyone else out there to replicate it.
My invites were all boxed, with embossing on the boxes and the RSVP card and accomodations cards, Raised Ink on all the paper. The boxes had a ribbon on the front personalized with the guests names and the boxes came with their own custom box for shipping. There is nothing else out there like them!
I had issues from the very beginning when I ordered samples, she would take days even a week or 2 to respond to me and she shipped the wrong sample color of ribbon and then took days to respond to my emails and even more days to send out the correct colors! I expressed my issues and I told her I wanted to give her my business but hoped she would improve on her customer service, she promised me she would have it all done in a timely manner.
I was able to customize everything with her, all the fonts the wordings, etc. which was great! She was super easy to work with in that aspect…id pick a few combos and she would send me proofs, she sent me multiple proofs without any issues.
Then came the ordering process, I told her I needed my invites by the end of May, I got them in the middle of June…and they were DAMAGED! And incorrect! I asked that she not glue the rhinestone onto the ribbon because I was going to attach my own rhinestone…I had to personally remove each rhinestone from 100 invites! She did offer to send out replacement ribbons and of course replacement invites for those that were damaged. I chose not to wait because my invites were already late in going out and did not want to risk waiting days for new ones.
My invites were gorgeous in the end and all my guests cannot stop raving about them!
I wanted to give her a C, but honestly the work was amazing that Id prob put up with her again!
I wouldn’t say don’t use her, but if you choose to then I suggest you start the process at least 4 months in advance, make sure you have plenty of time to get them.

My necklace and earrings are just absolutely stunning!!! I could not believe how beautiful they were when I received them! The customer service was excellent! They only accept returns within 3 days I believe, I emailed them and told them I had a dress fitting and wanted to make sure it would match my dress but still be able to return it to them if it didn’t work. The woman said it would not be an issue to return it. I was so thankful to be put at ease with my purchase. Luckily, I loved it and it was gorgeous !!!

The owner was very straight forward and honest and didn’t play any games or try to sell us anything. The tuxes were perfect and a great price. He was even willing to open the shop on his day off to accommodate our OOT GMs. I would highly rec this shop!


Paradise Bridal C

We got my mothers dress here. Shopping for the dress was a great experience, our sales person was very nice and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the store deciding on the gown and they were never pushy. Fast forward to July and they never returned my mothers calls when she inquired about when the dress was going to be in. My mother literally called every week for 4 weeks and never got a call back. My mothers dress came in 4 weeks before the wedding and it had a stain on it, the management seemed to care less. We ultimately decided to keep the dress with the stain on it, bc it could be hidden in a pleat. 2nd fitting, the dress had a pull in it and it looked like the dress was never altered and the hem was all uneven. 3rd fitting, time to pick it up, dress is not ready they need to steam it and that would take them a week!! My mother had to pick it up 2 days before the wedding. Their alterations dept needs a lot of help!!! I would not rec them purely bc no one needs this kind of stress so close to the wedding.



Village Bridal A+

I really love Village Bridal. The staff there is always pleasant, happy to help. They don’t work on commission so I guess that kind of helps, because there is never any pressure and I always felt like I was getting an honest opinion since they have no motive to sell you anything.
The seamstress did a great job on my gown in the store. She made the bustle on my gown look like the dress was made that way. The brooch on my gown that she sewed down did fall off though, so I guess she didn’t do that great of a job. The rest of the rhinestones were perfect though. I would just make sure that if you are having something added that it is sewn in really well!!
My bridesmaids got their gowns there as well, they offer a discount if you get your gown and BM gowns there. Dresses were perfect, on time, as ordered. All the alterations were great. The only complaint I had with that, is it was busy season and they didn’t have many time slots available so a lot of my BMs were complaining about having to rearrange their schedules. So just make sure your BMs start their alterations at least 4 weeks before the wedding.






Just Jen.com Day of Outfit A+

I did a custom suit and I love it!!! Ive worn it multiple times since the wedding, I love it so much! The site says order one size up, but Id order true to size as the material is very stretchy and it will stretch out. I got the suit so fast, I think in 3 days?! The top was too big for my liking and I emailed Jen with only a few days left to my wedding, she got me a new top immediately







Veil- Barrons in Tricounty Flea Market A+

While I did not wear the veil because I ended up changing my mind 3 days before the wedding, I felt I should review them because they were so wonderful . I needed a veil with only 2 weeks to go to my wedding, bc my original veil was damaged. She made me a custom veil, the price was amazing and her work was beautiful! She was so helpful, I sat there for at least an hour trying on all kinds of veils and she was so patient with me. I had to pick up the veil during Hurricane Irene and the flea market was closed!!! She arranged to let me pick up the veil from her home. Absolute pleasure to work with. Prices are amazing!



Bella Bridal Veils on Etsy A+ Infinity

This is the veil I ultimately ended up using. I first ordered a blusher from her to use with the veil I had purchase a year ago. That veil ended up being damaged. I then went to barrons(see above) and then changed my mind on that veil, wanted something more “poofy” I emailed this woman 3 days before my wedding!!!!!!! And she made me a veil and overnighted it to me!!! She is amazing! The veil was gorgeous and the price CANNOT be beat! 50 dollars for a 2 tier Swarovski rhinestone veil?!and the rhinestones were double backed so when you flipped the veil over you still saw the stones. If you are looking for a veil you MUST look into this shop.



Camelot Limo A+

Every bride raves about them and I am no different. On time, clean and professional! We had the Bentley Flying Spur and Infiniti Stretch Truck. Sorry, I never uploaded any pics of the truck here is the bentley.




Motion Pictures/Thaler Films A+


They are not as popular of a wedding videographer as they were a few years ago. Both of DHs brothers used them and we knew we wanted them also. They are big time videographers, shooting for E, Lifetime and MTV. They did a combo of documentary and cinematic which we loved. They interviewed us before the wedding and our close family and friends to overlay on the video. They also created a video for us to play at our RD and during the wedding, telling the story of our relationship and our engagement(we had our engagement on video). They are pricey but worth every dime!
ETA: Received our trailer and we absolutely love it! WE are still waiting on our final edit. The first trailer, I was not happy with the length or the song I chose(my fault) and they fixed it for us without any hesitation, creating a new trailer with a new song. They are awesome!!!



Stylish Events
Flowers & Decor

This is such a hard vendor for me to rate. I absolutely love Dana. She was one of my favorite vendors to work with. She got my vision the second I met her and she had so many amazing ideas of her own. Her work is phenomenal, Ive never seen her do a wedding or cp or bok that didn’t blow me away. She went above and beyond to make me happy and get me what I wanted. She ordered special flowers that weren’t in season for my wedding and didn’t charge me extra for them. I spent hours and hours with her and she was always patient, never pushy and never complained. She even bought us dinner(taco bell lol!) one night because we were there so late going over details.
The reason why it is so hard to rate her is because unfortunately the day of my wedding, she had an issue with her delivery truck, causing my ceremony to be an hour late. I arrived at my hall at 4 pm, 1.5 hours before invite time and there wasn’t a flower in sight. It caused much stress as you can imagine but I remained as calm as I could be.
My bouquet also had some flowers that were wilting; she met me at the arboretum and fixed the bouquet for me. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous after she fixed it.
Ultimately everything ended up working out and she is super lucky that the product she delivered was out of this world! All my décor for the wedding, blew me away, I felt like my wedding was on David Tutera or Platinum Weddings, the arrangements were out of this world. Everywhere I looked there were flowers, flowers and more flowers. My guests could not stop raving about the décor!
So even though she had this horrible mixup and it could happen to anyone or any vendor, I would still recommend her. There is no doubt in my mind that there is no other florist out there that could do what she did for us. I did not see one other florist even come close to what she did for us.
I wrote this honest review because I want other brides to know that your day may not be perfect but that is ok because the world will not end! Remain calm and work with what you’ve got!!!
And if you are contemplating using her, you still should, the flowers speak for themselves! She goes above and beyond for her clients!
I wanted to add that she did fix the situation after the wedding and was very professional. She even sent me and DH a gift card for a couples massage.

My guests also raved about Keith. Everyone kept saying how much they enjoyed our ceremony. We paid for the personalized ceremony and it was really nice to hear him talking about us as if he knew us, mentioning little things here and there that our friends and family could relate to. We wrote our own vows but also cited the traditional ones. He was on time, professional and courteous. Our ceremony started an hour late and he never once got stressed or pushy, he was super calm and he never asked us for more money or compensation. He stayed until well after the CH to wait for us to sign the marriage certificate. He is a great guy, highly highly rec!!!


Incredibooths!

I technically cant rate them because incredibooths is my DHs company but so many girls ask me who I used so that is why Im putting this here. We had the vanity booth for our wedding. Of course we had all the bells and whistles, bonus 4x6, LED lighting, scrapbook, props, extra prints, slideshow screen and email upload.








Rolling Pin Bakery A+

I could only deal with them through my hall so I cant comment on working with them directly. The cake was delicious!! And gorgeous! I was worried about doing cream frosting instead of fondant, but my cake looked amazing! Flawless and smooth! We did a tasting prior to the wedding, you can order the cakes online and then pick them up. I would rec doing only the cupcakes and maybe just one cake so you can get a feel for the flavor of the icing. The cupcakes were more than enough and were stuffffffed with filling!




Hair
Nicole D’Angio A+ Infinity
I had so many horrible hair trials. I had originally contacted Nicole but she is normally away on vaca in September so I moved on to others. Well, she contacted me a few months later to let me know she was available. I booked her on the spot. She nailed my look on one try, something 6 other hair stylists could not manage to do with multiple attempts. She is a bit pricey but in my opinion worth every penny. I did not want the typical bridal look, but something more “Hollywood” “celebrity” “glam”
The day of my wedding she was on time and professional. She was super calming and helpful with things that weren’t even her job. She even fixed a bridesmaids hair that was In need of help and didn’t charge her. She did my hair, my matron of honors hair and my mothers hair, all of our styles lasted ALL day and night, our hair was done at around 11 am and we partied until 1230 and our hair looked perfect!

Lola Loves Makeup

Her work speaks for itself. She makes every girl she touches look like a model. She nails that smokey eye like no other!!! My makeup lasted all day and night. I didn’t want to wipe it off. She is professional, on time, calm and sweet. She is a vendor I will continue to use after my wedding anytime I need makeup!!

They are a little difficult to get in contact with by phone but after I left a few messages, the girl in charge emailed me and it was smooth sailing after that. The place is gorgeous for pics!

North Fork Trolley A

We won a free trolley at TWOTY. We used it as our transportation for guests. As far as I know they were on time and professional. We used it to get back to our hotel, the Trolley was clean and adorable!!!
Unfortunately I don’t have a pic!!! Booo!


DOC Danielle from Simply Couture A+

Danielle was AAAAmazing!! This girl never stopped running and doing things for me. From the minute I woke up until we left the hall that night. I texted her early in the morning because I forgot shoe inserts and she went to target and got them for me.
When I had an issue with my florist she dealt with it for me.
Anytime I needed something, she did it. She never complained or got frazzled. I gave her a huge list of things to do before the wedding and she made sure all of it was done. I gave her my camera to take pics throughout the day and she took so many pics for me.
I would without a doubt rec her. For girls who don’t have a DOC, get one!! I don’t know how any bride manages without one!



Lombardi’s on the Bay A-

I had a few bumps leading up to the day….but Day of, my day was perfect!
The food was amazing! At least the few things I ate, some pasta, roast pig, sirloin at CH. Stuffed shrimp, stuffed chicken, chateau briand at dinner. I would not rec the pork chop, it was ok but a little overcooked. It is very difficult to make a good pork chop when cooking for that many people.
My VH was overflowing with goodies, anything and everything you could want, cannolis, zeppoles, crepes with bananas foster, cheesecake station, puddings, cookies etc.
The staff was amazing and attentive, always at my beck and call. They packaged up one of every entrée and about 10 containers from VH!
Just a heads up for girls getting married there: The music for the restaurant was playing during our ceremony, they were asked to stop for the ceremony and I guess the live band stopped but then they played music from the radio. I didn’t notice it but a few guests mentioned it to me afterwards. IF you are having your ceremony there, I would make sure you address this.
I would still have my wedding there if I had to do it all over again, I love love loved my wedding location!

Imagine A-

I had Ceci and Maria. They are such amazing people, so sweet and nice. They both go out of their way for a good shot, getting on the ground, jumping on top of things, sitting in the middle of the street, etc. They listened to me every time I wanted a certain shot. When my DH was tired and didn’t want to take pics anymore they respected that and stopped. I pulled Ceci around all night to take pics of me and friends and family and she was always there to get the shot. Their pictures speak for themselves, they are absolutely gorgeous!!! Lia is the owner and she is absolutely wonderful as well. The reason for the A- is because many shots that I had wanted were missed. I probably should have had an actual list with me the day of like many brides recommend but I didn’t. Mostly family shots are missing, I hoped for some more personal pictures with my family. I think a lot of brides feel this way about their wedding photos though. Many of the pictures in this thread are from them. I would still 100% recommend them, if certain shots are important to you make a list and put someone the day of in charge of making sure you check them off your list!
















HoneyMoon
El Dorado Royale Casitas A+++
Everything was perfection! The resort is gorgeous, the staff is amazing, super attentive, always smiling and going out of their way for us. The food is delicious, tons of options every day. If you stay in the casitas section like we did, a butler will bring you lunch in a lunch box to the pool or the beach, he will bring you suntan lotion, bottled water, a book or a pool float. It was like pure heaven!!! The rooms in casitas have outdoor showers, super romantic!!! This is not a resort to be missed! If you ever want to go to Riviera maya or mexico, you must go here! You wont be disappointed.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Cabo A

This resort is not all inclusive, but most resorts in cabo are not. It is a short bus ride or cab ride to get to town. The resort has free shuttles every hour into town. The resort is a popular time share spot so all the rooms have kitchens/dining areas. There are tons of pools, some of them infinity pools, so pretty! The food I cant rate, we only ate at the pool bars which were good for sandwiches and burgers. Cabo is really based around the downtown area, there are so many good restaurants in town you will want to go out and try them.
