My sister's 3/26/04 Wedding at Villa Lombardi!

My sister's wedding was so much fun! The weather was perfect - warm and sunny! We had such a fantastic time. Check out the pics! Sorry they are not in order. Some of the highlights were my cute 3 year old cousin Peter the ringbearer. He is my ringbearer also. He was the life of the party. Another funny thing was my mom caught the bouquet (she is divorced) ad Billy's 21 year old friend caught the garter. That was really funny!



Vendors

Hair - Karen from On Stage in Kings Park, NY.
I really liked the way our hair came out. The only negative was it took such a loooong time. The reason may be because we both have such thich long hair. My sister brought in some pictures and her hair came out exactly how she wanted it. For me I let them do whatever they wanted as long as I looked different from my sister. See the pics!
I give her an A for my sister and a B+ for me.

Make-up - Marie Katz! She was Excellent!!! She only did the brides makeup. First I have to say I only booked her 1 week in advance. She was very patient dealing with me through FM for a week. At first I was a little hesitant about the cost, but after seeing the result she was well worth it. My sister didn't have a trial so she was a little nervous getting it done on the wedding day. You can see from the pictures that the makeup looked so good and it stayed on all night.. besides the lipstick/lip liner, but we bought it and reapplyed it ourselves. My sister was very happy! She gets an A+++++

Villa Lombardi - The place is so beautiful! I don't know what to say besides everything was perfect! So much delecious food!!! The staff was excellent A+++++

DJ - Tommys Tunes - I forgot the DJ and MC's names... I will find out... but they were great as usual. They barely played any slow songs, but that was probably requested by Billy and Michelle. They get an A+

Commack Wedding Center did everything else! They had the biggest package that the CWC offered... but the ended up spending a lot more money than the cost of the package. Almost everything had to be upgraded or added on to.
Limos - Escalade, very clean, on time, excellent!
Flowers - The bouquets and centerpieces were silk but they looked so real! And I usually do not like silk flowers. Check out the pics.
Photographer/Videographer - Did not see the proofs yet but most of the pics that were taken with my camera are the poses that the photographer set up. They had mostly posed shots and less candid, although there were candids taken at the reception. We did not see those yet. The photographer was Eric. He was very energetic and funny. It was a blast working with him. About the videographer, I don't know his name, but I didn't even really notice him at all! Very unobtrusive. We will see when the video is ready!
Invitations - They were beautiful, arrived in like 1 week, perfect, no mistakes. Michelle addressed them herself.
Bridesmaid Dresses - They look nice in the pictures but the truth is I hated the dress. In bright light it was see-thru. Also, if you sat down for 1 minute you got all wrinkled. The wedding Centers prices were great but the alterations were done poorly. My dress had to be realtered numerous times because it was fitted way to small. It was not small when they pinned it, but after they took it in I couldn't zip it up. After 2 1/2 hours they fixed it so it fit but to me it looked out of shape. 3 other bridesmaids also had problems. My sister also got her dress there. it was Private Label by G. She is lucky because it was discontinued 1 week after she ordered it! The price was great but she too had a few problems (none major) with alterations.
Tuxes were from the CWC also and the only complaint was my cousins neck was to tight.
Overall I give them an A, not including the alterations. The alterations get a C-.

Considering my sister planned the wedding... I am suprised things went so smoothly! Lets see, last week she lost the tiara and veil, she lost her card box, she forgot to buy table cameras until the day of (we sent a friend out at 9 am), she bougth parents gifts 1 hour before the RD... She makes me very nervous! She should have joined LIW it would have made her more organized! I had a very busy week helping her get everything finalized. I can't believe she is actually married! They went on a Carnival Cruise to the western caribbean for 7 days and then 5 days at Disney.

ETS: We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot. They provided from the hotel to reception and back. They also kept the bar open for us all night long after the wedding. Everything was great except right now my mom is having a slight billing problem.

ETS: There were some more things I forgot. My moms dress (black and silver) and Grandmothers (black) were both from the wedding center also. The prices were great, but for mothers there is no cap oon alterations. Lets just say that these alterations were not done that well and the price ended up being very high.

I also wanted to say that Villa Lombardi had menu cards on the tables... 4 per table. It made deciding what to eat easier because we had time to think about it. I am def. doing menu cards now!

My sister did not have programs for the church. For those of you who were not going to do programs, they were not missed

I'm so glad almost everything went so well (alterations excluded)! Looks like everyone had a great time and the flowers look even better next to everyone's dresses! I love this picture - too cute! :o)

You all looked great! I love your dress...even though you hate it. I think the color was amazing as well. The flowers DO look real and the hair was great along with the makeup!!!
