My Wedding Review

HI everyone- I wanted to take the time to write a wedding review. I have been more of a lurker here unfortunately, because work has been insane and I rarely get to sign on at home, but I wanted to post a wedding review in the hopes that it will help someone out there with all that crazy planning!

My Dress: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa: A
I had read some negative reviews, but honestly had a very pleasamt experience there. They were not high pressure at all and my sales assistant Kristi had me try on a dress I wouldn't have looked twice at and it was the one! I had a great experience with the seamstress and my alterations were perfect and reasonably priced.

Reception: Captain Bill's: A+
They were fabulous from the moment I stepped in the place. Easy to work with- willing to add things in that weren't part of my contract (i.e. Pigs in the blanket for the picky groom, specialty drinks to be served when guests came in the door). Shannon was my maitre'd and she was phenomenal. The food was unreal- guests couldn't stop raving about the food.

I am picking up my proofs tonight, but they were on time, professional and when I saw them they were very nice to work with. However, they are so much in the background that you hardly notice them at all. They did a great job of 'corralling' my 22 person bridal party and large family! They got my familes and bridal party pictures done in an hour! We made it to our entire cocktail hour. A great job! As I said, I haven't seen the pictures yet, but they did a great job on our engagement photo, so I have great faith that the pics will be awesome.

Videography: Wild Rose: A
Bill and Marie are awesome. Honestly, aside from at my house in the morning when he was asking me questions, I hardly noticed him! Guests commented on that- they hardly noticed our photographer or our videographer. I cannot wait to see the results!

DJ: Spinaround Sound: A
Tom was great- he played everything off my list and even got a feel for me and my fiance and played stuff we loved without us telling him. Again, on time, professional and patient when I couldn't make up my mind about our songs!

Cocktail Hour Band: Steel Impressions: A
We added them literally the week before- they just happened to have our hour free. They were awesome and added a great touch to the cocktail hour. Lots of guests commented. Also, they were not that expensive- we had found so many of the steel drum bands were so overpriced. These guys were very reasonable.

Flowers: Fran: A
Sorry I don't have more information, but she is a friend of my MIL's who does this out of her house. Her work is amazing and I'd be happy to try to get her number for anyone who would like it.

Limos: A Unique Rolls Royce: A
Again, on time, professional, pleasant and the Rolls is gorgeous! I also booked all the limos with Sydney as well and that worked out great.

Honeymoon: Four Seasons in Nevis: B
Total luxury, gorgeous beach, beautiful room. We did the Romance in Paradise Package which you have to do because it includes a meal plan. We couldn't have afforded to eat otherwise. A glass of wine- $12! But it was a once in a lifetime splurge and we enjoyed every pampering moment!

I can't think of anything else, but I'm probably leaving things out. I know I gave all glowing reviews, but I really did have a perfect day and everyone was wonderful to work with. Not a bad one in the group! I was very lucky and blessed.

Congrats I can't wait to see pictures. We are getting married at Captain Bills next year so its great to hear your review. We worked with Shannon too. I love her. Can you please FM me the info about the steel drum band when you get a chance. Thanks a ton. Congrats again!!!
