Oct 10, 2004 Review
Yes, I know the date hasn't come yet, but I spoke (FM'ed) with Ron and as long as I add to this original post, I can start my review nowAnd the first vendor is....... drum roll please.............
Favorite Things Invitations A+++ I had done A LOT of research online for the invitations I wanted. I finally decided, ordered the sample and the company said the invite was being discontinued. By time I got my butt up, they no longer had them. I posted a thread on the VHB board with the invite I wanted. Rebecca responded very quickly. We (mom and I) made an appointment to go see her. When we got there, Rebecca had the book open to my invite. She still spent almost 2 hours with us discussing fonts, ink color, wording, envelope lining and everything else you could think of regarding the invites. They took about 10 days to come in (once I approved the proof). Unfortunately, Carlson Craft doesn't have spell check and spelt October, Octobre. Rebecca called ASAP to tell me the good news/bad news. She had them reprint the invites and overnight them to her. In the course of talking about the invites she said the word 'fudge'. I told her I wanted fudge now. When I went to pick up my invites, SHE HAD THE FUDGE FOR ME!!! Anyway, the invites are great, the color and wording are perfect. I can't wait to send them out...in 8 months!

8 months will go very quick. Before you know it you'll be sending out the invites and posting a review about your wedding.

Sunset Harbour- Reception Hall/Ceremony A- The service and food were great. They started setting up inside for the ceremony. But since it was so nice, I asked to have it outside and they did. However, the waitress dropped the box with my toasting glasses and broke one. The Matre-D came over. I saw the box drop. She told me they were fine. When I got home, one was broken.DUET – Photographer/Videographer A(So far) They photographers were on time and always shooting. Can’t wait for my pictures and video
In the Mood – DJ B- They played good music, good amount of interaction without being pushy, but messed up order of songs and some other minor things.
Rabbi Howard Needleman – B – Not the most organized person- He called at 5:30 the day before the wedding that he couldn’t find my vows, but I had more copies.
Floyd Harbor Flowers – Florist – B+ Not exactly the flowers I wanted but they looked great and stayed good all day and night. Noreen took a lot of time to find a special flower I wanted. By not exactly I mean I wanted fall orange and I got a peachy orange in the BM’s bo-k.
The weather was great, Sean was great. More when we get back.
