Honestly, I don't know what my wedding would be without all the little touches that stemmed from this page. Men's Wearhouse B
DH and I went to Men's Wearhouse (In Patchogue) MONTHS before our wedding to pick the color and style of the tuxes'. When I went there, I had the 'pool' and 'pistachio' vest colors in mind, which the guy matched flawlessly. I liked that the guys could go to any Men's Wearhouse to be fitted, pick-up and drop-off their tuxes, since we had groomsmen all over the island. The *minor* issues I had with the place is that DH's shirt was SO baggy on him, it was obvious that it was too big, and they didn't do anything about it. Also, all 12 of the men in the BP got their tuxes there and they wouldn't even discount the price. All they offered was one free rental, which we gave to my father. All in all, the guys looked quite handsome!






Bridal Suite of Huntington F--------
I decided to bring my whole BP to this location because this is the bridal suite that has been used for YEARS in my family. When I first went there, the two women that I usually worked with (Judy & Aida) were there, and everything was fine. I found my dress, the BM dresses and the FG dresses and ordered them all at once. They offered a 10% discount since we had so many girls ordering from there. I was SO specific with the dress colorings (MOH-pool w/ white sash, BM-pool w/pistachio sash, JBM and FG-pistachio w/pool sash). They wrote the colors down on a master copy of the order, but said they will not (or can't) order the FG dresses, since they will grow too much…Fine. They then special ordered my veil with scattered Swarovski crystals, my tiara, and I asked them to order the blusher. Fast forward a few months..
My mom brought her dress in to be altered by their seamstress, who they said was the original seamstress from years ago. (Side story: my mother is a seamstress but never alters dresses with beading, she wants a professional to do it for her, which I completely understand. Point being, she knows what she's doing/talking about when it comes to these things.) My mom had ordered her dress from Diane & Co (From the TV show, Jersey Couture) and she didn't want to keep traveling for alterations, so she brought it to my place with the belief that it was still the original seamstress. They ordered her a few sizes too big (momma has a fatty but has a much smaller waist) so it needed MAJOR work. This seamstress BUTCHERED my mothers dress but for some reason my mom kept giving her chance after chance, until the week before my wedding. My mom took her dress to Bridal Elegance (story about that continues with their review).
Let's skip to when I come to pick up the dresses. When they brought my dress up, it had wrinkles all in the bodice area. When I mentioned this to them, they said it would smooth out when I put it on. I went to take it to try it on and they told me I WASN'T ALLOWED TO TRY MY DRESS ON. Excuse me!? I then walk in to see my little flower girls dresses in the WRONG COLOR. Wrong, meaning yes, they match the BM's but that is simply not what I wanted. I couldn't figure out why the JBM's were the correct color (pistachio w/pool sash) and they would order the FG's to be opposite, it looked TERRIBLE. This is three days away from the wedding, the shop said they couldn't do anything, so mother was on a mission (also continued with Bridal Elegance review)..I went to take everything with me and opened the veil bag to see that yes, my blusher was missing. 'What blusher?' 'What do you mean what blusher?! The one you told me you ordered…That was $25??'…SO, they called Bridal Elegance (They have some kind of connection..Family, I believe) and sent us there for the blusher. Also the day of the wedding, my bustle broke..
Just to state on here: Judy and Aida are amazing, they were the ones that tried helping me and I'm sorry that Judy is still involved there..Aida left after this incident, and retired. God bless you if you read all of that…Point being, DO NOT GO THERE.
Also, my mother got $300 back for the messed up alterations and the FG dresses, but not without putting up a fight to do so. She had made an appointment to speak to them on a Monday, and went there to find out they were closed..With another woman waiting to pick up her dress. SMH!! There were other issues with my BM's there as well, with alterations. This place is AWFUL…Sorry for the rant, that was my biggest stress!

Bridal Elegance A+
THANK GOD FOR THIS PLACE!
To cut this short, I'll summarize this time. They fixed my mother's previously butchered dress on the first try, they completely RE MADE the FG dresses to the color that they were originally supposed to be, and they found me a blusher and attached it to my veil. The blusher was white and my veil was diamond white, but you couldn't even tell. The staff there is AMAZING and they saved me! Everyone's dresses looked amazing (with the exception of the poor alterations at Bridal Suite of Huntington..)








Majestic Gardens A+++++
MG was PERFECT in every way for our wedding. DH and I visited over 10 RH's and this one just stood out like a sore thumb. The ambiance, beauty, even the smell of the place made us fall in love. I love how it is only one wedding at a time and the photo ops there, simply gorgeous. John and Olympia went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I wanted and needed at all times. All of my expectations were met AND THEN SOME. They really worked with our budget and crazy schedules. Everything was set up perfectly, ugh and the food was TO DIE FOR. They offer second plate/choices (if you had chicken, you could have fish or another serving of chicken). I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the place. It was just simply amazing!

Also, the wedding cake was beautiful and was out of this world delish!!! It was vanilla cake with amaretto and canolli filling with buttercreme frosting. YUM!












Camelot A+++
Joe from Camelot is AMAZING. He works with your budget and still delivers everything you want! We got a Rolls Royce and a party bus, and he threw in a complimentary ride to the hotel for DH and I. The limo drivers arrived at my house an hour early and were dressed in nice tuxes. When waiting to enter the church, one of them was fanning me and the other feeding me water and constantly making sure I was comfortable. They helped with my train, with the receiving line and even stopped for a beer run on the way to the RH . I wouldn't have went with any other company!

Castle Entertainment A+++
The guys from CE are amazing, worked with out limited budget and there was always SOMEONE on the dance floor. Our MC was out of this world! I insisted on the dry ice effect, and I'm so glad I did because it looked amazing at the wedding! DH surprised me with uplighting and our name in lights <3
I WILL use CE for all of my future events, LOVED them.










ADA Studios B
ADA Studios, I wasn't that impressed with. The videographer did an AMAZING job for a mini edit video, I watch it every night. The proofs and the video were done by the time we got back from the honeymoon. The receptionist, Helen, I ran int conflict with her a few times. DH and I paid in full the first time we met with Tony, the owner, which was fine. He knew what was on the contract, like the Hi-res proof CD which he said we had rights to. He also knew we had 24 people in our bridal party. Helen told me our video wasn't included and the hi-res CD wasn't included..But it was, she is just…. Anyway, a month before the wedding she told me I had to pay for an assistant, $125 which is no big deal. I was just annoyed that he didn't tell us that when we paid in full. I also didn't get nearly as many poses that I asked for (I gave him a LONG must-take list). Part of it might have been that time wasn't on our side, and that there were just so many people that it was difficult…Who knows. I'm just not satisfied with the pictures that I have.

Corina Elgart from taste. bakery in Syosset is amazing! She was the semi-finalist on the Cake Boss spin-off, Next great baker. Corina and my florist Julia are cousins, that's how I met her. The red velvet grooms cake was out of this world delish!! My hubby loved his present! She also sells these amazing cupcakes from her shop!






Love & Philanthropy A++++
My florist, Julia, was my absolute FAVORITE vendor. She is such a sweetheart and she is amazing at what she does. I was sold on her when she told me that 10% of every sale she makes goes to a different charity every year. She is truly amazing! I loved loved loved loved the flowers!! She gave me all the orchids that were left over to me and hubby to put in the bath ;) haha. I'm obsessed with the flowers (most pictures belowV)

The 'here comes the bride' sign was chancy and disappointing. Not worth the money at all, especially since mine came bent already. We ended up throwing this sign into the garbage and buying one for $20 from party city. I feel so bad, I was really happy with Tony (ADA)..I really had high hopes....I'm going to TTD, maybe I'll get some of the missing pictures then..
