This is possibly the happiest moment of the day - assuming I had to pick just one.

This is a close second

It was just after we were married but before we walked up the aisle as husband and wife I think it was just after I took off my veil – yep, it was off before we even walked up the aisle I loved it but the crystal pins came out when my dad hugged me by the head and then even more so when DH pulled it back to kiss me. I pulled it out the rest of the way just before we jumped the broom and I never had it put back in place.

We had 6 funerals in the 3 months leading up to the wedding (2 in the last 2 weeks before the wedding) and another funeral the week after we came back from the honeymoon . It was bittersweet to keep taking names off of the guest list Attending all those funerals while planning our wedding put so many things into perspective. With so many friends losing loved ones (spouses and parents) it just made us realize that no matter all the planning, anything could happen.

DH and I kept a tabbed wedding planner so everything is here. He was with me every step of the way and at nearly every single vendor appointment – to make sure I did not make HIS wedding “cheesy”.




***************Advice for future brides***************
Now that we are an old married couple and can give advice on weddings here goes. For those of you still in the midst of the planning, some of this will be lost on you but it will click in the weeks before your wedding…..or maybe on your wedding day or in the weeks after the wedding

For some reason an engagement ring drives normal women to the brink of insanity while planning a wedding. It’s an emotional roller coaster and I am really not sure why many brides and grooms go into hyper-emotional mode or any wedding detail I am guilty of obsessing over small wedding details that in the end meant very little.

Oh my goodness! what an amazing review. I've been reading it for an hour and I'm still nowhere near finished! I love reading reviews and tonight I decided to take a quick break from studying to see what was new on LI weddings. I got hooked into your review and now I'm an hour behind in studying!! When I saw your pictures I was going to send you Fm asking you what type of slip you wore underneath your dress because thats the look I'm aiming for. Everything looked flawless - all of your hard work really paid off. Your list of questions is soooooo very helpful - I've bumped it several times on the 07 board.

oh, and the OCD in me is in love with the fact that your heart bo-k mirrored your neckline!!!
