Review of my Bridal Shower at The Country House in Stony Brook
It was amazing! The decor was beautiful, like a winter wonderland...
I had the shower on Saturday the 29th of November, and people are still calling me (I've heard from about 10 people) telling me that it was the best shower they'd ever been to! The Food , the Service, the Decor was all PHENOMENAL! Anyone who has eaten at The Country House knows what I'm talking about!
I totally got a kick out of the champagne, they had 3 or 4 kinds and I stuck with the 'berry' flavored and it had blueberries and strawberries in the glass. The staff was on top of everything, I never had an empty glass of champagne the entire day.
Everyone is raving about the food! Most people the Fireside salad as their 1st course (mixed greens, crumbled blue cheese, toasted pecans, in a balsamic dressing), or the tomatoe bisque...which was amazing!!!!
All the food was SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!
IF anyone needs to figure out a place to have a party or shower, GO TO THE COUNTRY HOUSE...and it wasn't even all that expensive (I thought it would be!!).
If anyone has any questions, just FM me.

The other thing I forgot to add was the dessert and it's presentation! Each person got on their plate a large piece of everything which was:
1 slice of shower cake
1 slice of cheesecake
1 piece of chocolate fudge brownie
2 chocolate covered strawberries
1 or 2 scoops of Hagen das Ice Cream
Now...the way they presented the dessert was SO GREAT!
Each waiter put ONE plate down on the table...leading the guests to believe that they were all going to pick from the one large plate.
Then, a few moments later, each person got their own HUGE plate with ALL the desserts!
Everyone's eyes bugged out and they were all thrilled!
My aunts loved the place so much that a few days before my wedding they are organizing a 'bridal brunch' for me and the ladies of the family (A LOT, I have a huge family , father is one of 11!). We can't do the brunch after the wedding because I leave the next day for the honeymoon!

Kathy - My mom had my shower there too. It was so beautiful. They do such a special job. It must be so beautiful there this time of year. We usually have Christmas Eve dinner there. My husband proposed to me there, so needless to say it is a special place to us.
