Gorgeous, sunny, 87, clear skies, and gorgeous views of the long island sound.

Miller Beach Surf Club: A+
Steve and Stan were great to work with. They are well known in the port jeff community for having worked in catering at port jeff country club for years. They run a professional and wonderful place with excellent food and cordial staff. Theresa was the day of coordinator with them and she was so sweet and attending to my every need. My napkin was folded on my plate every time I sat back down, My glass was always full from cocktail hour through reception. She helped me with everything! The food was amazing and everyone that came really enjoyed themselves.

Elegant Limo: A+
Family owned and operated, its a smaller company on the island. The exceeded all my expectations! We hired them for the bachelorette, wedding, and transportation to the airport the next day. Charlie was the driver for all three days which was so nice. The guy was early every time, knew his way around Manhattan for the bachelorette, picked my oot girls up from hotels and brought them to dinner, then when he took them back, he stood outside the car to make sure they got into their hotel safely. He picked us up the morning after the wedding and brought the white stretch limo even though we only paid for the town care, what service! He was so Nice and professional and they were easy to work with over the phone as well!

Church of Ancient Ways: A++++++
I cant say enough about April Gismondi! Everyone that came to my wedding said Pastor April was so good! My husbands mother said that was the best ceremony ever, and shes been to a lot of weddings! It was so personal from the time that we met her to the day of. She has a way with words and you can tell that this woman does this because she loves to and her heart is completely in it. SHe really encouraged us to put our heart and soul into the ceremony and was there every step of the way with support and guidance.

Gail Chatelain: A+++++++++++++
This woman is photography's best kept secret for weddings. I found her on Craigslist when I got fed up with long island prices. I was not going to pay 3500-6000 for 300-600 pics and a couple of albums with no ownership of the pictures. I looked at her website and I was hooked. Her style really is photojournalism! A lot of people said that when we met with them and they really weren't. She was nice on the phone and sent me a cd of more of her work, I booked her the next day for our wedding and our engagement shots. I have 1000 pictures of my day on a high res CD, and shes making us an album and they are all online for a few months for our friends and family to see and buy. SHe is a lovely artistic woman who you should book for your next wedding!


Parties Alive: A++++
Richie was great to work with, laid back, been in business for 10 years and knows his stuff. He didnt do our wedding but Sean did and he was awesome! Great MC and DJ! He kept everyone dancing and going all afternoon! He stuck with what we requested, the music wasnt too loud...I could talk to everyone, and people had a great time.

Bridal Elegance: A+++
The woman, Phyllis, who runs the show here knows her stuff! She has great prices, works with you on all the details, follows up promptly, and is personal. She knew my name when I came in and helped me through the whole prices. SHe caps her alterations so you dont feel like youre getting ripped off. I ordered my Mori Lee gown which was gorgeous and my bridesmaid dresses by Jasmine which my girls all said they would for sure wear again, they didnt look like bm dresses.

Craft Shoes: A
Customer service here can be a bit rough but they have the biggest selection of bridal shoes, I think on the island! Efficient service.

Port Jefferson Florist: A+++++
Kathy runs this place and she was sooooo nice! Laid back and clean organized shop! I knew when I walked into her shop I wanted her to do my flowers! I could tell by her shop that she was super professional! She really was patient with me and my ever changing ideas! SHe had some ideas too that went really well with mine. She worked with me on all the details and the flowers came out wonderfully! The flowers lasted TWO weeks after the wedding. My mother in law said shes never seen roses last two weeks and the hydrangeas lasted as long as the orchids!

Strasburg Childrens: A+
Flower girl dresses, classic and simple, great customer service and cute selection.

After Hours Formal Wear Smithaven mall: A+
Great customer service, clean and affordable!

Invites, place cards, table numbers and favors: A+
US!!!!!!!! Everything came together well!

Create a Cake: A+++++
Yummy cakes and really easy to work with . She knew the guys at miller beach surf club and had a long working relationship with them so I knew I was in good hands. Dropped off the orchids and the ribbon and she did the rest. Yellow cake with fresh strawberry in one layer, chocolate filling in another, and the top was chocolate chocolate, Yummy and moist.

Counterpoint String Quartet: A+
Christina and her crew were a pleasure to work with. I always knew that I wanted strings at my wedding and to be able to walk down the isle with a string trio was amazing. They were well dressed, on time and professional!

I am booking my 6/27/14 wedding at Miller Beach Surf Club. I am not sure on pricing but I have been told they are reasonable for a small wedding. I appreciate this review. I am using all the things listed. Congratulations and I look forward to my day now.

Thanks so much for posting this review. I'm in LOVE with Miller Beach Surf Club! It's our top venue choice. We are going to see them in a few weeks and reading your review, I'm even more excited now.
Can I ask, how did you find your officiant? Did Miller Beach recommend or was it something you found on your own? I'm looking for an officiant myself.
