Swan Club wedding review

My friend got married there last night. IT's in Roslyn harbor.

Lovely place - the inside and the grounds are GEORGEOUS.

Food was great - I had stuffed sole and loved it.

Maitre D came around to see if we enjoyed everything which was a nice touch.

I wasn't crazy about the band she used (Powerhouse) but out of a 10 I'd give a 6.5
They dropped some notes in the beginning and there was a song the bride told them she wanted ('Gloria' by Laura Brannigan) and they never played it until the MOH reminded them and the singer dind't know the words!
Seemed like the singer wasn't the one that normally plays with them (but bride said she thinks she is) or she dind't rehearse. The band itself was good - the singing wasn't perfect. No matter we all danced a storm anyway.

Another bride on here got married there last night so I hope she had a great experience there too.

ETA: I met her at the salon to take pics. She used Hair Expo on Oceanside at the Sands shopping mall. I didn't like how some of the girls did the BM's hair but most of them came out fine. And whoever does the makeup there...she's great!!
And she used Queens Bridal for photographer. His name is Joey G. He's great - I watched him alot and was very impressed.
