Wedding Review- 10.12.2003 (Vineyard Caterers)

Well here i am on the other side!! People's reviews were always so helpful to me and I learned about so many great vendors through here so i wanted to give my review. Overall the day was amazing..everyone says you feel like you are floating and you do...it ended up pouring rain till the evening so everythign was moved inside but it really was romantic, cozy and intimate with candlelights etc so my advice to others would be don't stress the weather...you can't control it and somehow it all works out beautifully in the end...i would say be prepared though..i was very happy we had an indoor option! The absoultely best thing which i am still glowing over is the feeling all our your loved ones in one place....it really was the best! Ok enough chatting here i go...

Vineyard Caterers
From the beginning the staff here were so awesome..Bill answered all my endless questions and on the day they treated us and our family and bridal party like royalty....There was soooo much food and people raved about it being yummy! I was so happy with this place and would tell anyone to consider them!

Mark Kauffman Photography
We really wanted the whole photojournalistic approach and i have not seen anything yet but i have been so happy with them so far and i can't wait to see the pics...We used Mark and Pedro...mark filled in for us because our original photographer moved..i thought that was extrmely generous and lucky for us =)They came in early and shot away as we got ready capturing the moments and Mark was even really awesome about calming my nerves..i didn't even realize i was a bit anxious but he sat me down and had me breathe etc...very awesome and needed =) They did all the posed very fast and even ventured out in the rain with brian and i for some outside shots.. Again can't wait to see the pics but I was very happy so far!!!

Flower Michelle
All i can say is wow!! I loved loved loved my bouquets!!! John was so awesome to work with and everything came out beautiful...he was able to see what we visioned and make it a reality..I don't know how they get the roses to open up so full right when you need them but wow...I was extremely happy with them!

Rev Joe
Rev Joe and Judy were so helpful form the begginning and they did a wonderful job. The ceremony was just what we wanted...personal and meaningful for us..we picked things form here and there and they did a great job putting it all together. Many people commented on it and how it touched them..I would defintely reccommend them to anyone!

Heart Strings

Another vendor i would not have found but on here and they were awesome. They were so affordable and had us come to their home to play for us. We had lots of great comments about them and every time i looked over they looked like they were having fun!

DJ
This was a family friend who has a side business on the weekend. They did such a great job and really got everyone up and dancing.

Hampton Jitney
We used them to take us and family and bridal party early for pictures and then to shuttle everyone to and from the hotel. It worked out great and was well worth the money to not worry about people driving. It also was a really fun bus ride to the vineyard singing going to the vineyard to get married and then with everyone on the way home. I was so happy we did this!

Best Western- East End
There were not alot of hotels out east to choose from....so we took this one over. I had blocked a bunch of rooms a year in advance and gave info in the save the date..as we filled the block they gave us more. I used the suite the night before and it gave us room to get hair/makeup done in the morning. They were very helpful and it was great to have eveyrone in one place. We all went to the hotel bar both nights after rehearsal dinner and wedding so that was nice to be able to keep on partying...they stayed open for us. We then all had breakfast in the morning after the wedding and recaped which was fun!

Hair- Maggie from La Combe
Again I found out about Maggie through a bride here and was so happy. Had a trial with her and she came to the hotel and did myself and 5 other people. She was awesome!

Makeup -Natalie
I used someone who I found out about through family..She uses aveda products and traveled to the hotel to do me and the moms and bri's sister. She was great and I felt like myself all day!!

Kleinfelds
I was very happy with everyone here...I found a disgner i liked and it was the only store that carried his dresses..The one word of advice i would give is to have your last fitting as close to the wedding as you can. I picked my dress up the week before the wedding..and figured i was fine but i guess with stress that last week i was not really eating alot and lost a few pounds...when i put the dress on it was a little bit big (it was snug at last fitting) so my girls pinned me in and it was fine but i had to pull it up all night which was a little bit of a drag! Also since it was a bit big i think it fell longer so i broke my bustle but the bridal attendane pinned me up...she said she fixes more bustles than she doesn't so be prepared!!!

Men's Wearhouse
Got the tuxes here..in theroy it is great..guys get sized and pick them up all over the country and then drop in one location..In the end it worked out but we had a few snags...bri had 2 pants but not jacket...missing suspenders etc..they made up for things but a bit stressful in the process...just make sure you stay on top of them!

plate- Painted Pot
We did the plate from here (again a tip from here) and it was a hit...can't wait to fire it and have it as a keepsake.

OK..well i am sleepy...we got back from 10 days in Hawaii which were awesome...want to go back! Thanks again for all your help...hope this is helpful to others..
