I'm not sure what could go wrong with tuxes (I never would have said that 3 mths ago) but nothing did with ours. They were very nice and took my brother's measurements over Christmas when he was in from San Diego. We ever got a little discount because DH's cousin, who got married in June also used them. He recognized them as being all the same guys from his wedding.


CONGRATS, again. Looks like you guys had an absolutely fantastic day. Funny that that's where you got the tuxes. I grew up walking past Flowerama in Ridgewood and then had to laugh when that's where I ordered my dress from 20 years later, but the one out in Elmont. Small world. Pics came out great. given your rave reviews I wonder why more of these LIW couples don't go with the Metropolitan?

2/19/05 Metrpolitan Review

Bridesmaid Dress RK Bridal A

No one got their alterations done there so we did the no frills package. I got quotes from gownsales.com and RK Bridal matched them. We had the dresses shipped to NJ so there was no sales tax. The dresses I picked were very expensive (Jim Hjelms) and this was an affordable way for the girls to get them.

It's kind of a zoo there so be forwarned.

I again have better pictures at home which I'll share too.

Rehersal dinner was a La Sorrentina in Dyker Heights (Brooklyn)

It wouldn't have been my choice because if the location but MIL payed so she got to do what ever she wanted. That being said it was a really nice time. The food was great and even though it was a trek from St. Kevin's everyone had a nice time!

Engagement Party was at Il Cortile in Little Italy (DH's Italian if you haven't figure that out already)
Party was great, food was excellent and they treated us really well even though we were a little drunk and loud!
