One of my concerns with the swan club is the fact that there is a slight possiblitiy that you might bump into another bride. Did your wife bump into another bride? Also, did you have your cocktail hour outside? If so, did you have music during that time? Thanks in advance for your help and time in answering these questions. Your the only person I see on this site that has recent experience with the swan club

The only time we saw another bride is outside when we were taking photos. I don't really think thats a big deal to see another bride.

When I saw the other bride... it made me think on how much BETTER MY BRIDE looked.

Anyways... we didnt have our cocktail hour outside because the weather was starting to get bad (very windy with t-storms approaching). They didnt want to take the chance so we had it inside which was the good choice as it got VERY WINDY while we were trying to take our pics.

If we would have had it outside... my DJ would have provided the cocktail music outside using a separate smaller DJ system.

My photos are supposedly done... just have to pick them up. Once I get the photos... i should get my video a week or two later.

I just wanted to do a quick update on my Photographer and Videographer.


12th Night gets a 10 out of 10. I got the pictures and they came out great. My only complaint was Michael forgot to take pictures of each table. Vanessa was a little annoyed at that. But I guess thats partially my fault since I never made that a 'required shot'. I got amateaur shots of every table so that will do. But overall they still get a 10.

Getting all the original files was a huge plus because now I am in the process of doing all my own albums. I will be doing an album thats just as good (if not BETTER) than anything you will get from a professional photographer in a 3k plus package. Stay tuned for more on this when I have them done.



Jules Apatini also gets a 10 out of 10. I haven't seen the whole video yet... but I saw parts of it. From what I have seen... he gets a guaranteed 10. Its exactly what I was looking for... a product thats above average... that I paid WAY below average on. I wasn't even going to have video at my wedding... but I booked him at last minute cause I had a couple buks to spare.

He gave me a great deal and based on quotes I got from other video companies... I got MUCHO bang for my buck with the video I got from Jules.

I'll be honest he doesn't provide the same level of quality you get from a company that charges 2k plus for video. I also think Video is something he does on the side, not sure if he does it full-time. But its VERY good for the 1/4 of the price I paid for it and great for people who are on the fence about getting video or not.

Some people wanted to see some of my 12th night photos. I figured I would post a few.

The below photos are actual pages that are going in my wedding album. All the photos were done by 12th Night.

I am doing all the albums myself... the pic placement... the layout... the photoshop... ordering the albums... everything done on my own.

Here are some pages from the album. Vanessa hasn't even seen these pages yet.

I am quite impressed on how my layout is coming out. This is photo studio layout quality... maybe even better.







Here is a wide 'panoramic' picture that will actually take up BOTH SIDES of a open book page (left and right).



Maybe I should start a little side business in doing layouts and albums.

I am 95% done with the album layout. I have to send it over to 'The Boss' (DW) for final approval. Once I get the final OK... I will start looking for options on how to get my work into an actual binded album.

But anyways... I am toying around with what I should do with the last page of the album. I am thinking of using the infamous 'pill pic'.

The caption was our wedding song. But we are considering taking out Alicia Keys there... and putting in a custom 'thank you' message for each parent album aimed at the respective parent.

We would leave Alicia in for our album... but replace it with something more personal for each parent.

'The Boss' approved 48 of my 50 pages. Not bad!

There is one panoramic page she wants completely removed. Doesn't like the main pic.

We also have next to no pictures of this one lady at my wedding that was very important to her. She is supposed to get some film negatives from her daughter and we will have a couple of the pictures scanned and placed into the album.

Other than that... I am almost ready to start production on it.

Well... we finally agreed on all 52 pages! (I added two more pages).

We have four panoramic pages total. I removed the picture on the panoramic page she didn't like with another picture and its all good.

I was able to add a couple of pictures I got from some amateur film cameras that I scanned in that DW requested.

I am going to upload the album pages to my website so everybody can see the work I did.

I'll post a link once I have the webpage done.
