Well, I have been busy moving and have not had a chance to tell everyone what a wonderful day I had.
Lets just clear some stuff up because I have not been on the boards as much lately. I was supposed to get married in Nov of this year. I had booked all my vendors and had picked out my dress. Well we found out we were pregnant in January (surprise!! ). We decided to change the date so that we can get married before the little peanut was born. Well everyone of my vendors were so accomodating, that I did not have one problem chaning my date from Nov to March. I truly feel that life happens as it is supposed to, because I planned my wedding in literally two and a half months. Anyway, on to my review.
ETS: My invitations!! I completely forgot to mention Jodi at Simplicity Planning. Not only did she deliever stunning, classy invites, but she turned them around in literally four days without any rush fees. She was a doll to work with and her constant contact with me made me feel completely at ease.
The day started off rainy, but by 11:00 the sun was shining and it was hot and humid.
Lets start with my limo because they are the only thing that made me upset all day. They are not a vendor on the boards, and I normally use them all the time, however, they got to my house at 6:45 and my ceremony started at 7:00. They ended up going the wrong way, so we sat in traffic.. I think I finally got to the hall at 7:30. I was in tears by the time I got there, but I quickly put my best foot foward because I saw my FH waiting for me at the end of the aisle. My limo people get a big fat F. I wish the grading system went lower.
Father Rev. Callahan- A++ He performed my ceremony. I have received so many wonderful compliments on how personal and special the ceremony was.
Duet Photo/Video- A++ for now, I am still waiting for my proofs, but they were wonderful. They seemed to get all the pictures I wanted, I will post my proofs the second I get them.
Finishing Touch Chair Cover Rentals- A++++ The chair covers I rented totally made the look of the room change.
21st Century Hair Salon in Great River- A++++++++++ They opened early to get all my girls and me ready. They really made me feel and look like a princess that day. AND they were inexpensive, I paid for all my girls hair and makeup as part of their BM presents.
Flower Michele- A+++++ I have nothing but praise to say about John. He spent so much time with me allowing us to get my vision of my flowers into a reality. He was a pleasure to work with and he made my reception, ceremony, Bo-K's, etc look insanely beautiful. I can't wait for you girls to see the proofs of the tables, and Bo-ks. I received so many compliments on my 'different' centerpieces. My theme was Gerber Daisies.
High Voltage Sounds- A++++++++++++ I know I will not be able to do justice in this review for how wonderful Vinny was at my wedding. Not only was he the most understanding vendor, he was patient with everyone of my changes, right up until we were getting announced we were making changes. He had the crowd dancing all night and did not play anything at all from my do not play list. We did not get the MC because of personal preference, and it was so perfect that we did not. Vinny just let the music spin and did a great job on all the announcements.. And Vinny is so affordable, his prices are bargin basement but his DJing is top of the line.
Sunset Harbour- A+++++++++++ And last but not least, the best part of my day. Dealing with Andy and his team was so much fun and so easy. He allowed me to do whatever I wanted to the hall, change the menu, you name it. There was no pressure to use their vendors and they were so accomodating. Gina was assigned as my bridal attendant, I highly recommend that anyone getting married at Sunset recommend her on their party. She is such a sweetheart and was literally there to help me with everystep of my day. The food at Sunset is unreal. I still have people talking how amazing the food was that day. My only disappointment was with my cake. I had given them a picture of the cake I wanted and I was assured it would turn out exactly like that, well.. needless to say it did not. But that small part of would not make me feel any negative thoughts on Sunset. I hope that I can find some excuse to have another party here.. (maybe the peanuts chirstening heheh). OH.. and the one other thing.. it was very affordable.
I seriously would highly recommend any of my vendors, EXCEPT my limo company hahaha..
Pleae feel free to FM with any questions..
I will post pictures as soon as I get them.
PS.. there was no honeymoon because we just sold our house and moved into our new home last week.. Now I can concentrate on our little peanut making a home in my belly now.
