Minniebride I personally appreciate your honest review.
We need to know the good and the bad when it comes to vendors, and your experience will help other brides by pointing them to areas of weakness that their vendors may have, and help improve the service. IMO, everyone benefits.
I'm sorry people chose to bring drama to your thread because of your honesty. I think we invest so much in our weddings and vendors, that we take it personally when someone doesn't feel the same way about them.

I really don't think that what was said was slander at all, just an opinions WITHOUT being too harsh.

She also saw their work at another wedding that she didn't like, so again, it's her opinion and her decision

I posted an honest review, b/c that is exactly what I was looking for when I was planning my wedding. Most importantly though, you need to go with your gut; I didn't on a few decisions, and I learned my lesson the hard way.

Mary, overall, the dress was totally fine - really! It was just falling down in the front/side a little as the night went on (it was strapless). I just found that I had to keep pulling it up - nothing really major though. It was more annoying than anything; it wasn't as if the dress was going to fall off!

Honestly, I think they probably have more than one. Just ask. And, don't worry!

minniebride...CONGRATULATIONS!!! You seem to be a class act that refuses to stoop to other peoples levels...I am fairly 'new' to these boards, and I dont know what to make of all this B.S. that's going on...I DO know that you gave an HONEST review and should be commended... IMO I have seen some rather 'less than flattering' pics of girls who've gone for makeup consults, and instead of jumping on the bandwagon and saying how 'gorgeous' or 'stunning' they look just because its a popular or well liked vendor, (even though one girl looked like she had clumps in her lashes)... i say nothing! the other girls are right for thanking you for an honest review...at least you're not being phony!...honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.. again, congratulations, and best wishes for the future!

I am a bride using 3 of minniebride's vendors: photographer, florist and bridal salon.

I am not worried one bit about how they will perform on my day. I did alot of research on my vendors and yes, the good outway the bad. But I expect that every vendor will have negative reviews. One person's experience is not enough to form my own opinion.

For the ladies considering booking Jack, you should go and meet him and make up your own mind.

ETA: Everyone is entitled to express their opinions, good and bad. But don't let one negative review prevent you from meeting with a potential vendor. I seriously freaked when I heard a negative review for one of my potential vendors-but when I met with them I had a great experience and booked them on the spot. Minnie bride expressed an opinion.

Everyone's experiences will be different.

Isnt it possible for two people to have two DIFFERENT experiences with a vendor? i mean this is way out of hand. this is not what LIW is suppose to be about. This is why i think the boards have been rather slow( at least before this post they were) latley. People should be allowed to post good and bad. i havent gotten married yet so i havent posted a review but I did post my dress when i was considering buying it and alhough no one had an out and out bad comment about it some people had comments that some may not consider flattering and i didnt get crazy i just took it and considered it and still bought the dresss. If someone is considering JnR and they read this it will just give them another opinion to consider before booking. What is so bad abuit that!!!! JMO
