Your wedding was beautiful. I love the Somerley at Fox Hollow and I am considering having my reception there. I love everything about it. However, we've done a lot of cutting on our guest list and we cannot get the list lower than 195 people. There are about 10 peple who we don't think will come because they live out of state. Do you think the room is too small to hold 195? The sales manager we met with said the room can hold 216 people maximum, which would be tight and would cut into the dance floor. Do you think 195 (given everyone says yes) would be too tight? I know its difficult to say but I would really appreciate your opinion. Could you picture your wedding reception with 3 more tables (figuring you had 10 at a table). Any advice would help because we're stuck! =)

Dbla, i think the room holds another three tables in my opinion. I mean, we had people dancing, sitting, and outside, so the room felt a bit empty in some areas. If we had three more tables it would not have been a problem. We had plenty of room!

I just have to add that if my sister wasn't getting married at fox hollow in september it would have been a close call between the new somerly room and the Watermill. Everything is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations again!

Melybee-Congratulations and thank you so much for your post. All of those details were so helpful and you looked beautiful!

I am having a really big problem and I dont know what to do. I booked the somerly room for June of next year and I am having about 120-130 people. I was never told that they use the back of the reception room as part of the cocktail hour until AFTER I booked it with them. The reason why this is an issue is because I want the dance floor to be in the middle of the room, with the tables on each side. When I called the person who I booked it with, he told me that the only way they can set up the room is with the tables on one side and the dance floor in the back. To make matters worse, he hasn't been very nice to me. I've only called him twice since I booked it and both times he rushed me off the phone saying 'I'll see you next summer'. What kind of response is that? I feel like he wasn't forthcoming about the room and he really doesnt want to be bothered at all with it. I had more questions for him and he just rushed me off the phone and I felt like I was bothering him.

I know that you had a great experience with them and I wish that I had that as well. Can you share your experience with the room set up and offera ny advice that you might have?

Thanks for posting your review!! You look absolutely stunning. Congratulations! My wedding is in 5 weeks and I'm counting down. One question: the dance floor in the back (i did not expect that) -- did it have good energy for dancing in this format? How did you arrange your tables? Who sits in the front (family?) and who sits in the back (friends?) And where would the bridal party go?
