I've seen them online but the color is not always perfect. Has anyone seen Black Magic roses in person? Are they reddish, burgundy or black? What about Black Beauty?

Kate, Okay in that color category you have (3) different Roses to choose from. The Lightest of them would be Black Magic, more of a true Burgundy with some blackish highlights. Second would be Black Beauty, normally found as a smaller variety it would be considered as a few shades darker than Black Magic, and Thirdly the ' Black Baccara ' would be the darkest of them all with a strong blackish feel and Deep Burgundy highlights. This rose is normally found as a Dutch Rose and tends to be larger than Black Beuaty, but smaller than Black Magic, in my opinion all gorgeous roses. :) Good Luck, John

'black' roses are not truly black, they do have a very deep red to them as they open, but have a black/red tint. As for the two varities, one is a smaller head. They are truly a magnificent rose. If you want one that is beautiful, try to make sure your florist can use the holland variety rather than South American. I only use holland because the South American varieties may not look as nice for bouquets. You should check around to see when you can see one in person
