Thanks for the tip - I checked out the website for Viking, and it looks great! This location is within walking distance to the town, right? From what I`ve researched, it seems that most hotels are within distance from the harbor, and others are closer to the mansions.

Unique Rolls Royce -

Teri, The Viking is unique. It is close to town, but not in town. It has a great history and they spent 6 million on renovations in the past year. The food is great and we loved it. We have spent many days in Newport. My son went to URI and I was able to see him by doing overniters without a big deal. I`m sure you wll love it. Ask for the package deal. Sydney
