Well - D - what do I need???
They said to bring a list of vendors (which I typed up in Word) and the menu we were given at the time of booking & the contract.
Do we pick out the cake at this meeting? Should we bring our cake toppers so that they can see the size, etc...???
make sure you bring your list that you have to ask your questions...
your packet they gave you when you booked.
yes you pick your cake out and they can change a few things with it! (that was the hardest part)
they show you your rooms again!! and show you the tables .. the place settings .. how it will look like!!
we really were not there long.. it went by very fast!
I think I heard it can take up to an hour. I have my list of ?? in my notebook & that's the same notebook i'll stick the vendor paper into. I figured i type faster than I talk & write with a pen - so i would make it all nice for Jen. She seemd very nice on email :)
After the appt. - we're heading to georgette's so i can get a bra for my dress! WOO HOO!!!
Then it gets sad - and we have two wakes to attend...![]()
if you dont have many questions it doesnt take that long.. you dont even pick your linens yet..
hang in there jess

Jess - can you get a complete list of linen colors when you go on Friday? I want to use brown and ivory and I want to see if they have brown.
i was thinking abotu doing brown linens too but i wasnt sure if it would match the red chairs ? I feel like chair covers will add up, and i would prefer to spend the money elsewhere...
SO do you girls think brown linens would match the red chairs? I could always go with plan B and do ivory linens since its in the same family. Thanks
I think im doing brown linens on top of ivory. Those are my colors. I go for my meeting after Thanksgiving. Im gonna check out what the brown looks like- Ill bring my camera and post it!!!

I tasted two cakes from erga bakery and I or my family liked the cake it is not our taste .....
I met with jay and I loved his cake and was impressed with his artistic style in cake decorating
I want a credit from fox hollow I know that other brides have gotten great credits....
I dont want to book jay before I am sure that I will get a credit....

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
I never tried calling, but have stopped by there more than a couple of times and got answers to some questions. If it's near to you, it seems to be worth popping in. (Just avoid Thursday evenings- Sunday, because they seem busy with other weddings)

What room are you in? My room is the Winter Garden Pavilion and their chairs are green and ivory.

Girls,
Can people post what questions they took/ are taking with them to the meeting? I need to start mine and would love some ideas!!! :)
I found that almost every question I wrote down beforehand they ended up addressing during the meeting.
I asked about the following:
-color samples if we wanted tinted frosting on our cake
-how early i could drop stuff off and how it needed to be labelled
-what I needed to bring to the final meeting (like 3 or 4 days before)
these were the only questions that i dont think they addressed on their own

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
okay girls - real quick replies - we just got back to NJ from Long Island....Question: If we don't do a cake with the Fox Holllow - how much credit do we get & is there an upgrade fee for a cake?
Answer: You get a $100 credit & can use it towards an ice sculpture or something else during the reception. There is no upgrade fee - for all cakes they have in the book - there's no extra charge. I didn't ask if they give cash...
Question: What are the linen colors?
Answer: Wine, forest green, black, baby pink, baby blue, bright red(really pretty), gold patterned, ivory patterned, plain white & navy.
Question: What size aisle runner? Width & length?
Answer: Jenn will get back to me on that - she's really not sure.
Question: Are margaritas & dacquiris included in price or extra charge as per 'extras sheets' sent in mail?
Answer: If you want a SEPARATE station - there is a charge. The table would be set up with a sombrero or beach scene, etc. For regular bar orders - it's included free of charge.
Question: Can you do a cake for my sister in law's birthday?
Answer: Yes, free of charge.
Question: What types of vodka?
Answer: Kettle One, Grey Goose, etc.
Question: Can we get into WGP for pics ahead of time?
Answer: Party in there until 5 - after 5, we can have free reign.
Question: What type of flowers for CH centerpieces?
Answer: they're bubble type small glasses with a single floating flower (they're very cute).
Question: We'd like to do a candy bar - can we?
Answer: YES - YOU DO NOT NEED THE BOWLS - THEY HAVE SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will set up for you - free of charge.
Question: Do you provide menus?
Answer: Yes & they can email you the file to make changes to: font, put your name on it. They will print for FREE.
Question: Can we see the placecards?
Answer: Yes - and they are the fox hunt ones - HOWEVER, the reverse side is plain ivory and we can just use that - so there's no charge....
Question: We really don't eat much on the 7 course menu list....(i know we're weird).
Answer: They will make the bride & groom WHATEVER YOU WANT!! ! They're making us chicken cutlet parmigiana & veal parmigiana!!!
Question: How many people per table?
Answer: No fewer than 8 and no more than 12.
Question: What to do with favors?
Answer: Whatever you want, they can give them out after dinner, have them on the tables when people walk in, whatever you want to do!!!
Question: Can we do a rehearsal?
Answer: Not really - unless your wedding falls on a Friday - then you can do a rehearsal during the week, otherwise - they are too booked with parties.
Question: My wedding is January 20th, will the Christmas decorations still be up?
Answer: No - the decorations come down the second week in January...(boo).
I sincerely hopes this helps everyone! I have to say i left our meeting LITERALLY jumping for joy and i kid you not - i jumped TWICE!!!
I'll talk to you all tomorrow (Saturday)!!!!!
Hugs & Love!

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread
Jess,Thanks for all of the info. I was really interested in finding out about the cake credit. Since they only give you a $100 credit, I'll probably go with what they give you. Did they have a nice selection of cakes in the book?
Also, thanks for the info on the candy bar. I almost bought the jars today. Good thing I came here first!

Hey there -
No worries at all!!! She said they are pretty simple bowls - but if you want something more than that - you have to get them. I figure we'll get maybe 1 or 2 larger urn type thingies...
The cakes - they had a lot of really nice selections - yes. I have the flavors for the cakes. I'll type those out for you ladies now!

Thank you - that is so sweet! Deanna & I came up with the idea....we figured it would be nice if we could help each other instead of pestering the Fox Hollow every day!
