Brittany Murphy is engaged to boyfriend Joseph Macaluso, the actress's publicist tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The pair, who met when he was working as a production assistant on her 2004 romantic comedy Little Black Book, got engaged over the Christmas holidays, her rep said. The ring is a 3-4 carat Tiffany diamond.

No word yet on a wedding date.

Murphy gushed about her new fiancé to PEOPLE last year, saying: 'I'm so happy right now. I feel so lucky.'

I watched some of it - one of the winners lives in my apartment building...Philip Seymour Hoffman. I saw him last Sunday night while waiting for the elevator - nice guy. He struck up a conversation w/FH & I...which I was surprised about. Usually it's just a quick hello...but an actual conversation! Wow. I know he's nothing to write home about - but it's still a total celebrity sighting!

Eminem's a remarried man.

The hip-hop heavyweight swapped vows with high-school sweetheart Kimberly Mathers before a who's-who of rap royalty Saturday, five years after their first marriage imploded, and just a month after Eminem announced they had reconciled.

News choppers buzzed Meadow Brook Hall in the Detroit suburb of Rochester, Michigan. The couple arrived in a limo and, as paparazzi flash bulbs erupted, were ushered inside the stately 110-room manor.

'Family and close friends were in attendance, including members of D12, 50 Cent, Obie Trice and members of G-Unit,' Dennis Dennehy, a publicist for Eminem's label, Interscope Records, said in a statement. D12's Proof served as best man.

Guests chowed down on filet mignon and lobster, per Dennehy, while Lord Sear held court as deejay for the reception.

A honeymoon is planned for later this year.

Kimberly Mathers had picked up their marriage license on Thursday. The document listed Eminem by his legal moniker, Marshall Mathers III. According to a wedding invitation printed in Star magazine, the couple asked invitees to 'join them as they exchange vows and the celebration of their new life together.'

Eminem, 33, first disclosed that he and Kim, 30, had gotten back together during an interview with Detroit radio station WKQI-FM in December.

The pair grew up in towns adjacent to Eight Mile, the road on the outskirts of northern Detroit immortalized in the rap star's blockbuster film of the same name, and began dating in high school. They had a daughter, Hailie Jade, in 1995 and married in 1999, around the time of Eminem's breakout album, The Slim Shady LP.

Things went downhill fast, though. Within a year, he recorded the scathing track 'Kim,' in which he rhymed about killing his missus, giving the public insight into what had become an extremely turbulent, if not dysfunctional, union. Things only worsened later in 2000 when Kim tried to commit suicide in the couple's suburban Detroit home.

Shortly after, Eminem filed for divorce. Kim Mathers fired back with a lawsuit seeking her share of his fortune and an extra $10 million for emotional distress caused by 'Kim.' The two reconciled briefly in December 2000, declaring their intention to work things out for the sake of Hailie Jade.

By 2001, however, Kim filed for an expedited divorce, citing 'a breakdown of the marriage relationship...and [because] there remains no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.' The move initiated a bitter custody battle that would end with the rapper agreeing to give her physical custody of their child and financial support.

In the intervening years, both battled with drug abuse. In Kim's case, her cocaine habit cost her custody of Hailie Jade and landed her on probation. Eminem, meanwhile, sought treatment last year for an addiction to sleep medication. His stint in rehab capped a difficult year, in which he canceled a European tour and made comments suggesting that his recent chart-topping greatest hits album, Curtain Call, might be his last.

In addition to Hailie, 9, the couple are raising Kim's 12-year-old neice, Alaina Mathers, as well as her 2-year-old son, Whitney, she had while she and Eminem were divorced.

The unborn child of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived in the combustible Caribbean capital Friday accompanied by his or her famous parents to be. It was the budding baby's first media opportunity since Jolie's pregnancy was confirmed Wednesday. Likewise, it was Pitt and Jolie's first public outing since the news broke.

And owing to Jolie's role as a United Nations goodwill ambassador, all she talked about was the nation that the U.S. government has warned Americans to avoid because of threats of kidnapping, looting and roving militias.

'You hear so much just about the danger and the fear and then you come here and you meet just an amazing people,' Jolie said. 'Given just a little chance, and given a little help, this is going to be a great country.'

Jolie has been in the region at work on The Good Shepherd, a Robert De Niro-directed epic about the history of the CIA. It reportedly was in the Dominican Republic that Jolie confessed to an aid worker that, no, actually she wasn't just bloated.

In Port-au-Prince, Jolie and Pitt visited a school, and 'watched children dance and recite poetry,' per the Associated Press. More than a PTA-approved date, it was a solid for hip-hop musician Wyclef Jean, who was back in his native land to mark an anniversary for his Yéle Haiti Foundation.

'To have these people [Pitt and Jolie] grace our country is a beautiful thing,' Jean said to the wire service.

The Jolie press conference was held at Telemax, the Haitian TV station recently bought by Jean, the French-language Haiti Press Network reported.

Though billed as a surprise visit, the Pitt-Jolie sojourn was about as poorly a kept secret as the nature of the Mr. and Mrs. Smith costars' off-screen relationship. Thursday's Miami Herald said Port-au-Prince had been 'abuzz with rumors of an impending visit by Jolie.'

For those keeping count, Pitt, 42, and Jolie, 30, now have willingly appeared in public together twice since the former's marriage to Jennifer Aniston ended. The first formal photo-op came in Kentucky in October, shortly after the Pitt-Aniston divorce was finalized.

Taking the road less traveled by Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Pitt and Jolie chose to let paperwork do the talking for them, outing themselves as a committed couple in December when Pitt initiated proceedings to adopt Jolie's two children.

As Pitt was preparing to accompany Jolie on her latest international trip, reporters in New York City asked U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Thursday if the Fight Club star was goodwill ambassador material.

'I will consider it, and I will let him know you recommended him,' Annan said, per Reuters.

In other related Pitt-Jolie developments, Aniston's publicist has blasted as false reports that cropped up as last week in publications such as Life & Style that Jolie informed the ex-Mrs. Pitt of her pregnancy via a telephone call. A variation of the item, which had Pitt delivering the potentially uncomfortable news, also was branded as untrue.

'All the reports about phone calls between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie are all made-up lies,' rep Stephen Huvane told Extra.

Also not receiving a ring from Pitt or Jolie about the baby was Jolie's estranged father Jon Voight. The Oscar-winner apparently learned of his progeny's pregnancy through Access Hollywood.

'It's a wonderful thing,' Voight told the TV show. 'I wish them the best.'

Pop star Kylie Minogue, who has been seeking treatment for breast cancer, has been given the all clear by doctors, the British newspaper The Sun reports. The Aussie singer, 37, is 'keen to return to work,' according to her publicist. He added, 'Fortunately we are still able to say we have received no news of a recurrence of the cancer, however, at this point in time Kylie's treatments are continuing.'
