I'm fairly new to this site. I'm 100% Colombian and my FH is Polish-American. I need some ideas to incorporate my family heritage into the wedding.
What are some nice Father Daughter songs? Also, I am having a full mass. Is it weird to try to have a bi-lingual mass, Spanish and English?

just scroll thru this thread a bit and you'll find some good stuff. and no i don't think it's weird to have a bi-lingual mass! you need it for both sides of the family. we're not having a bi-lingual mass---BUT we WILL be using bi-lingual DJ's!

My FH Anthony is Irish Italian so I'm going to join those threads as well.

What I def want is a latin owned dj who can play real good salsa. I'm going to set up an appt with Elegancia as per MJDoc12 recommendation.

Let's try to keep this board alive chicas!!!

I booked Elegancia as well! I was SOO impressed with Jose's presentation!!! I am sure you will love them! Ask them to play the intro they created for a bride, made up of salsa beats, it sounded so cool!

Welcome. I booked Elegancia too. They did a co-workers wedding in 2004 and I heard they were great. My wedding is only 6 1/2 weeks away, so I will give you my opinion right after that.

I must say I have total confidence in them. They are so professional.

for all my latinas--who may have OOT guests coming from out of the country and/or do not speak english, are you doing OOT baskets/bags for them at the hotel? what kinds of information are you putting in there? bi-lingual maps ? i have family coming from peru that do not speak a lick of english and i'm unsure as to some ideas for the OOT bags!

you could give them information on sight seeing - if they have never been to NY they might like that - maybe a metrocard too.
