I forgot to write the good news!

First of all, the new carpet looks beautiful.

and
WGP LADIES - THIS IS FOR YOU!!!!

The chairs are AWFUL. Keith, the director of operations, was in the lobby and I had a pleasant coversation with him. He said that repainting them just isn't cutting it anymore.

He told me that THEY ARE NOW INCLUDING IVORY CHAIR COVERS with the WGP, until the NEW CHAIRS arrive!!!!!

According to Keith, the interior designer has very specific taste. She has been ordering most of the materials from Europe, and its taking them a while to get here. He said he's not sure when they're due in, but new chairs are DEFINITELY on the way!

That made my day!!!!

So they are supplying the chair covers only until the new chairs come in? I wonder when they are coming in. I hope it takes a year or so. Cuz I want chair covers..

GET OUT!!!!!!
SO this applies to brides having their reception there from now until the new chairs come in???????

I'm not getting too excited yet. I have struggled ove rthe stupos chairs but couldn't justify spending the extra $$ on chair covers.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

When does FH get in contact with us about setting up a meeting for the menu and stuff? I'm almost at the 2 month mark...they'll probably call soon right?

I could call them myself, but i think it would be more exciting to get the call from them!

on the stairs, and in the hallway between the rooms (the bathroom hallways). The lobby is just an area rug, i think.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

yes, the food was very good.

I had a salad and their stuffed veal chop....FH had calamari and penne alla vodka. And we shared the chocolate lava cake with ice cream for dessert.

I had such a hard time choosing the meal - there were too many to choose from!!!!

I totally forgot to ask if they had a date on the new chairs yet Darn it - i have 2 glasses of wine and can't think straight!!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Does anyone know what the bathrooms look like there? Would I have to provide a basket of stuff?

Does the fox hollow hold 2 or 3 weddings a day? I thought on my day they are just having me and another one but now i'm not sure.

The bathrooms are really nice. They have an attendant, so you don't need to supply bathroom baskets.

Fox Hollow can hold up to 3 (I believe) weddings at a time. You can always call up and ask how many weddings are being held on your day.

I will let you know how i feel about not having video after my wedding this October. I know, I think everyone tells me I will be sorry, but we are not the type to like to watch ourselves on video.

That's the main reason we are choosing not to go with one....neither of us like to watch ourselves on video. And I personally feel like I might act differently knowing a camera is on me the whole time. I hear mixed responses, but I tend to agree with the people who feel it wasnt worth the money cause they have watched it once in the three years since theyve been married.
Someone else told me she didnt get a video because she wanted to remember the night exactly how it was in her head and not get home and watch a video and realize she had spinach in her teeth, or someone spilled something on the back of her gown, etc.

That is also a great point! If I did watch it, I would overanalyze everything and hate the way things turned out or think of how i could have done it differently.

Exactly!! And I know myself and I will DEFINITELY do that. Still let me know though if you end up regretting it at all.
