Hey girls....I picked my menu last night and Jen was GREAT.
Everything Chris said was on point....we loved her...we left there KNOWING that we picked the right place!
I will have Sam as my M'd and Rene as my bridal attendant...thanks to Christine and PrincessConsuela for recommending them.
This is becoming so REAL!
What did you pick for the cake???

I picked the same design as Hollie's but in Ivory and its yellow cake with canoli and chocolate mousse.I'm going to call Pedestals to find out how much it would be for the flowers on the cake.

Anyone go to the showcase Wednesday night? I am interested in hearing what everyone else thought of the vendors.

I did. Wasn't impressed by the vendors. I had a florist snip at me when I tried to take a pic of her bo-k, and a certain 'Big' photographer went on for 3 minutes on how my photog choice was a bad one. My mother should've never opened her mouth and said who I chose!
It was overcrowded, and I didn't like any of the food they were sampling. I'm a picky eater, so I guess that's expected. My parents were impressed with the food, though.
It wasn't really a good time.
I left a little disappointed. I still love the WGP though.

I thought it was ok, not too impressed with it though. Some parts of it were a little unorganized. FI wasnt feeling too well so i couldnt really enjoy it too much. I didnt really go for the vendors though

I also went to the showcase, and I agree with you girls...it was a disservice to the Fox Hollow. It was overcrowded, and everyone was grabbing at the food. There was no place to put your drink our plate down either, and when borrowed the edge of table to do so, a florist yelled at me!The hor'douv room was just so crowded I didn't try anything, but the dessert room was a little less packed, and the things I did taste were really yummy.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I agree with all of you...it was very crowded and seemed very unorganized. Luckily, it didnt affect my opinion of the Fox Hollow or dissuade me from still wanting to hold the reception there. I actually spoke to someone from PWP the day after to schedule my 'tea party' appt and she was telling me that was the biggest turnout they've ever had and they werent anticipating that many people at all. She also mentioned that next time they will probably split it up into 2 nights - one for the vendors showcase and one that gives you the 'behind the scenes tour' (which was completely pointless, i didnt need to stand in line forever to see what the kitchen looked like). In any case, I still really love the WGP. Do you guys think it is weird/ugly to not use really tall centerpieces in that room because of the tall ceilings? I dont particularly like the super tall ones because I feel like your guests cant see people on the other side of the table.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
OH MY GOD. It was a zoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only thing I kind of enjoyed was the show that Top Hat put on, but mainly because me & FH won one of the prizes :)My wedding is the WGP (so excited) and we are using smallish centerpieces, with high candles, not the big ones like they had at the showcase. I don't think it would look bad at all.

we skipped the vendors. our major ones are booked already and for limos and flowers i pretty much know who we're going with. Since I won the DOC i'm thinking of having DIY centerpieces now since she can set them up for me.

Has anybody met with people from PWP other than the tea party? I have an appt. with James in a few weeks about invitations and favors, I'm wondering if it's worth it. TIA!

I made an appt for the tea party, I dont know how helpful it will be, but I am guessing it cant hurt, right?I would love if they did it separately, I didnt really look at any vendors, I just wanted to taste the food since i havent been to an event at fox hollow in a long time

I met with Linda last year. While she was very nice, DH and I found this pointless. We already had booked our major vendors and they were pushing their recommended vendors. We never went back for our 'final' meeting with PWP.
