Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I am going to the tea party in a few weeks just to feel out PWP and see how much help they can really offer me. I am from Queens so it might be a little helpful for me because I would prefer to pick vendors from Long Island that have worked at the Fox Hollow and know the space well.....the photographer in particular.

I was hoping they would have more of the cocktail hour spread out at the Showcase so I could see what it would look and taste like. I too have not been to FH for a wedding before, so I wanted to experience the food.

Anyone having the ceremony there? One of my bridesmaids is a singer and I wanted to possibly have her sing at the cermony but I dont know if the Petite Garden has the right acoustics for that.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

FH and I are getting married there, since its October, they told me we can either do it in the garden or the chapel. I chose the chapel since October weather can be tricky. My dj will have a separate set up for the chapel and for the reception since CH starts right after the wedding.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

We're getting married the last week in April, so it may be nice enough to have the cermony outside. They said we can wait until that day to decide.

Whats 'CH'? I guess we will need 2 set ups as well then.

Our's is on a Friday night, so although it may be warm in April, it may get chilly by the time 7:30 rolls around. You never know, it could be warm and sunny on an October afternoon.

Was there an extra charge for them to do that?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Yeah, I spoke to the bartender in the WGP when we were at the showcase and he said people do signature drinks often. I am doing that as well.

Our ceremony is at 7:30 either outside (fingers crossed) or in the Petite Garden, CH is from 8-9 and then we are having the reception in the WGP, after you have your CH there. I was nervous about that at first since they only have 30 minutes to clean/set up...but FH made me come to my senses and realize that they do this all the time and know what theyre doing.

My mother told me today that they are changing Day Light Savings starting next year and it will happen in the middle of March, so hopefully it will still be light out at 7:30 on April 27.
