How long are you taking off from work for the wedding.. ???

Considering my wedding is in NY and I am in GA i am taking off a month.. LOL.. for before the wedding and the honey moon.. I wonder how work and FI are going to like that..

Unfortunately, I'm only taking off for FOUR days!!! Wedding's on a Friday, so I'm taking of Thursday, then Monday and Tues the following week. I'm a teacher, so we won't be doing the honeymoon until the summer.

I am taking off two days before the wedding to prepare and I am taking 3 weeks after the wedding for our honeymoon. We are going cross country, so we need the time. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get the time off and don't have to quit. I sent my letter in to my superintendent today for approval. I am keeping my fingers crossed!!

I'm taking the week before off to take care of all the little last minute things and to de-stress and the week after for the HM.

I'm with you Eireann, I am getting married on LAbor Day weekend next year and will start student teaching right after. The honeymoon will wait until the winter

I think I am taking off Thurs and Fri from work....then 2 weeks after, 1 paid, one unpaid..I do not want to use all my vacay time in one shot!

2 weeks 2 days!!!
I am trying to save up a few extra vacation days this year so that I dont use all my vacation for the wedding! I need at least a few extra days here and there....I guess thats what sick days are for!

I am taking off 2 days before, the day of the wedding, and then 10 days for the honeymoon... 13 days total!
I am only using 5 of my 10 days this year and am carrying over the rest. My company doesn't usually carry them over but made an exception for me

Good question! Hmmm - probably at least three days before the wedding and then a week (or two - hee hee, I wish!) after for the honeymoon.

I am actually really lucky because I am a teacher and the week of my wedding I have off Monday and Tuesday, so I will probably go to work on Wednesday but take off Thursday and Friday (my wedding is on a friday) then the monday and tuesday after. We will just take our honeymoon over the summer.
So i will probably have a total of 4 or 5 days off.
