Girls who are getting (got) married at their hall!

Are you having a rehersal? I'm confused as to whether we need to have one beforehand or if we could just do a run-through the day of the wedding.

No rehearsal before-hand...we're doing a run-through the day of the wedding with the maitre'd.

Good question! I was thinking the same thing.
My future mother in law said they were paying for the rehearsal dinner. I didnt think we needed one. I am getting married at the place.

My FBIL had no rehersal. They did have a rehersal lunch the day before though!

We had a run through the day before when I dropped everything off- just me though- the coordinator told me everything I needed to know. then she filled in everyone else right before the ceremony & it went off without a hitch

In the Jewish tradition we generally don't have rehearsals. But since we are getting married at the hall and not the temple, we couldn't have one anyway. It's kind of like everyone else has said, we will just do a run-thru that day. I think the Rabbi goes over the actual ceremony with us n private consultations jsut so we know what to expect and we can ask him any questions.

I would like a rehearsal luncheon or dinner (probably lunch) on the Sat. before just to thank everyone and give them their gifts. I will be doing the run through the day of my wedding with the Judge thats marrying us.

Great! I didn't want to have one anyway! The thought was giving me headaches. I suppose I'll still have a dinner or something beforehand though for the BP, but at least now it doesn't have to be on Long Island. Thanks everyone!

We had a rehersal and I am so glad we did, becasue it would hve been so confusing.

I was able to get some things straightened out, during the rehersal that i would have never thought of. I definitly recommend doing it. We did not ahve our officaint come, the maitre d did it, and it was fine.

We had a rehersal dinner 2 nights before. Our hall did ask if we wanted to have a rehersal but we opted to do run through the dayof with the maitre'd. Everything went well.

This is what we did. Our officiant doesn't even do them. The officiant & the maitre d' gave us the order of the recessional and quiet instructions during the ceremony. It went off without a hitch.

We aren't having a rehearsal. My officiant will be there about 45 mins before the ceremony, and will do a run-through then. We are having a dinner the night before so that everyone can meet (the GM's are from MA, and the BM's are from NY) and have some fun.

We had a rehearsal dinner, but there was no real rehearsal involved, it was more of a thank you to the members of our wedding party.
When we arrived at the hall for pictures, the maitre d, gave us a run through. You should have everything typed out to give to her, like the order everyone walks out.

I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I was just going to have a dinner to thank everyone and give them their gifts, but someone who had their ceremony at the Huntington Townhouse told me that their whole bridal party was confused and had no clue where to go! I don't want that to happen, so now I might have a rehearsal.

My FH and the rest of the bridal party will reherse before the ceremony.

I didn't have a rehersal at my hall either. It really isn't that hard to walk down the isle. There isn't much to practice. Whoever is marrying you will quickly go over everything before the ceremony. Don't sweat the small stuff!
