MOTHERLESS AND FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS, PLEASE VOTE ON OUR GTG LOCATION

This is for our first GTG.

Our options so far are:

Me hosting it at my house in the Bronx on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. (not sure if you all have issues with the drive)

Going to a restaurant in Nassau also a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. (this may not be as private )

Please let me know what works best for all

ETA: I have ANOTHER Option, but I don't see how I can edit the poll.

But the 3rd Option is to have it at the Westbury Library Conference room, which I can get for FREE. The only thing is that it is a public library, so our GTG would have to be open to the public. I don't really see this as a bad thing, if someone is Parentless out there for them to join us, but I don't know how you all feel about that.
The chances are slim that someone would just walk in anyway, but it's always a possiblity, please share your thoughts.
You can't vote on this in the poll, so if that's your vote, just reply to this thread as voting for #3.

Thanks,

Liz

I say your house in the Bronx maybe great. Just because it will be alot more personal, we may feel a little more relaxed and at ease.. what part of the bronx do you live in?

Re: MOTHERLESS AND FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS, PLEASE VOTE ON OUR GTG LOCATION

Liz,
Thanks for doing this.
I voted for the restaurant in Nassau but I think it was either before you mentioned the libraby or maybe I just hadn't read it. I think the library might be nice just because it would be a little more quite than a restaurant would be. Sometimes when it's crowded it really is hard to talk with people.

Re: MOTHERLESS AND FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS, PLEASE VOTE ON OUR GTG LOCATION

Thanks oneday for your input.

I am narrowing it down now between the library which I can get a room, and we can have food brought in like appetizers, etc.. . .
but we'll have privacy.

Or a restaurant, which may be slightly more expensive (or maybe not) but we may not have privacy.

Up to you all

Re: MOTHERLESS AND FATHERLESS DAUGHTERS, PLEASE VOTE ON OUR GTG LOCATION

Thnaks so much again. Today is 10 years that my Mom passed, and it hits home more on this day and year , the year I am getting married, aside from the fact that my mom and dad are both gone I miss my dad so much also. Someone had the nerve to say to me and get this girls- 'It is 10 years I would think it would get better!!!!'. Yes, it is not as raw the wound but my going thru this at such a young age is hard enough and then plan for your wedding without them is even harder. I am open and flexible to getting together, the wedding is 3-28. If I can make a get ogether I will. Thanks again for this thread.
