Question for Tahiti honeymoon brides...

Anyone know what should I expect to be paying for 10 nights between bora bora and moorea? The quotes we are getting seem pretty high and we can't seem to make a decision if this is the right place for us based on the money..... just wondering roughly what everyone is spending.

It varies greatly depending on where you are staying and what type of accomodation (garden or over the water bungalow)
Check out tahiti-explorer.com- it has well-priced travel packages and GREAT boards where you can find out alot of information.

it does vary btwn where you stay but figure it will approx be btwn $6-8k

we went to tahiti & loved it!!! the $$$ we spent was worth it!!!!

Leap29 - where did you stay? What did you think of the food? We are big eaters and are concerned that there is just one of two restaurants per resort. Was that enough variety?

Also, roughly how much spending money do you think we should bank away for each day?

We are thinking about the following:

Moorea -
the Sheraton or Sofitel over the water

Bora Bora -
Lagoon or Pearl Beach garden bungalow

And i am excited to check out the travel site mentioned as well!

We are going on a cruise - The Tahitian Princess for 10 days and it is a lot more reasonable than hotels, plus meals are included. The cruise goes to Tahiti, Bora Bora, Cook Islands and other Polynesian Islands.

FH and I did one cruise together and it did not go so well bad weather/seasick - not good. So we aren't really considering them for the honeymoon. But thanks for the info! I appreciate it.

EaD04 - dp you have to pay to get info from that site? I read somewhere that I need to fill in my credit card number if I want more information....? One time fee of $19.95?

we went to tahiti, moorea and bora bora for 11 days, stayed in overwater bungalows on each island, had no meal plan included, flew air tahiti - and we paid about 7-8K for that.
