NWR - Digital Camera Advice

I posted a question about digital cameras on NWR a few days ago but now I can't find my post. I am going to get my first digital camera so I need some advice. Since I am just using this camera for fun, 3 mp should be OK right?
If you would please post
1. what camera you have
2. the price range
3. How many mp
4. what kind of battery and how long it lasts 5. what kind of memory card and how much do they cost
6. pros and cons
7. Would you recommend to me, why or why not?
8. Where did you get it? Is it OK to order online (like from Amazon.com)?

I know I have a lot of questions...Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much

Re: NWR - Digital Camera Advice

I agree with Monters on Canon...I have been looking and I think I am going to get the Canon A70, I actually found it for a good price on the Walmart website of all places $267.66.
It's 3.2 mp.

I have a Fuji..got it on ebay. I believe it's 3.2 mp..not sure though. It came with a 16MB memory card...but I bought a 64MB card on ebay for $12!!!!. It takes AA batteries...and I use rechargeable alkalines...got them at walmart for $15. Love my camera.
