Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
I just finished it last night.....it was good, although not JP's best, IMO. I was annoyed that the theme was a bit repetative....
Anyone else read it? What did you think?

Re: Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
It's funny, I didn't find it too depressing - it was definitely sad but a bittersweet ending. I didn't like how JP beat into our heads how much Suzanne loved Nicholas and Matt....OMG I was like "Enough Already!!!" We get the picture - it's a perfectly happy family!!!

My last post implies I'm a heartless biotch, but I'm really not! It just annoyed me that he mentioned this SEVERAL times....almost to the point where you knew something was up and it was too good to be true!

I didn't take it that way at all... What I got out of it was that you were sick of being beat to death with the picture of a nauseatingly happy family. AND you said so in a funny way!

Re: Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
It was my first Patterson book and I liked it, but did not LOVE it. I did not let that stopme from having my next book be The Beach House. I listened to it on CD while driving.

Victoria - I LOVED the Beach House! Some said it was pretty predictable, but I really enjoyed that one

I enjoyed this book very much, I actually read it in one day, I couldn't put it down, so if everyone is saying this wasn't his best book - I am going to have to get his others ASAP!!

Re: Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
I finally finished it the other night. As a Mom, I related to alot of what Suzanne wrote about the baby. But, I have to admit - I found it to be repetitive AND the ending was just silly. I mean, the writing was on the wall regarding Suzanne's fate - but, the baby too???? C'mon...the ending made it too "neat" also...instant replacement.
I've been advised by a friend NOT to take this book as a measuring stick for JP's best work...I'm looking forward to The Beach House for better entertainment...

Re: Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
I read the book last year. I read it in 2 days while working out on the stationary bikes. Hee Hee. I lost 10lbs those two days. LOL I loved it, it was a tear jerker. Correct me if I am wrong, It was James Patterson's first of this kind.

Re: Has anyone read Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas? By James Patterson?
I really enjoyed this book, even cried at times and like Claud was able to relate on a Mommy level.
He's coming out with a similar type book to this in the summer, to be titled "Sam's Letter to Jennifer"
I also read on his website that Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas was his best selling book to date
