are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
FH likes me the way I am and gets very upset when I mention losing weight for the wedding....is anyone else not really dieting or going crazy for the wedding?

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I am not going crazy with that at all. I am who I am and I am not going to stress myself like that for one day. FH loves me the way I am and is always telling me how beautiful I am. His opinion is the only one that matters to me. Would I like to lose some weight, yes, but I am not stressing over it.

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
Nope, I am definitley going to diet before my wedding. I have issues!Besides, if I eat better, drink more water, and excersize regularly, my skin will look great, and I'll lose a few pounds.

I'm not. I've always been in shape, so I'm glad that my weight isn't something that I have to worry about. I have enough things to worry about!

I am not. I never diet, I hate that word. No offense to anyone if they like that word.I exercise on a daily basis and that's how I maintain my sanity and my weight.

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I am who I amNope no dieting for me. Im not trying to lose massive amounts of weight. I could lose 20 lbs and probably be healthier and happier but Im alright with where I am right now.
About 6months or so out from the wedding date, I plan to 'clean up' a bit. Drink more water and pay more attention to skin care for my collar area, upper chest, neck and face. I want to glow. But that's my call.
My hubby married me for who I am, period. On our wedding day i will still be the one he loves (so he says) and that means more to me than anything.
Besides.. Ive never seen a bride who didn't look absolutely beautiful on their wedding day. It's the biggest moment of your life. Enjoy it!

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
Honestly, I would love to lose a few lbs but realistically I probably wont do anythign to achieve that. But that doesnt bother me, I am happy the way I am.I can say though that over the 4+ years I have known my FH we both have put on weight and we would both like to be more active in general to stop that trend! But I told him thre is no need to worry neither of us are good cooks so when we move in together we will probably shed some pounds!

i was obsessed with it for a while, and now i'm at a weight that i've been at for a while and i think i look ok. i could lose a few more, but i think i'm going to wait for the honeymoon, which we're taking in july before i get really crazy about it!

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I commend all of you who can say that you are happy with who your are....I wish I was the same. I try to eat healthier, I try to drink water, I try to excersize, but my will power is very lacking! I wish I could just say, F#$! it, and be happy with what I look like...but I'm not. FH says he loves the way I look...but I know that I could look better. Now...if I could only get my will power to agree with my brain...I'd be off to a good start!

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I'm currently dieting, but i'm not doing it only for the wedding. FH loves me for who I am, and would love me if I gained weight, and I have gained since I met him. He's pretty much indiffernt about me losing weight, if I do, great, if not, great. As long as I'm happy, he's happy. I need to lose weight period, the wedding is only one motivating factor.

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I have been dieting for the past 8 weeks and will continue to my deit until May- I am only about 4 pounds away from where I want to weigh. Now I have to keep my exercising up to flattern and tone all I have lost- any of you out there-struggling- try the South Beach Diet- It has worked miracles!!!

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I am planning to loose a bit of weight before the wedding. Both I and my FH agreed to do it together, because since we met we both gained the weight. We both are very attracted to one another just the way we are. He motivates me by jokingly saying, how he will be unable to pick me up and swirl me during the dancing. :)

I like what you said SomedayBride. I like that you said you are losing weight because you (personal feeling) feel you need to and that the wedding helps to motivate you. I think losing weight because you want to is a good reason. I never understand when brides say they have to lose weight for their weddings and go all nuts and many take pills or other stuff just to look good on their wedding day and then don't care anytime after the wedding (not saying everyone does - but in my experience with friends an family I have seen this so much). I just never get that? I know losing weight and dieting is hard but why be something different on you wedding day than you are every other day...making a lifestyle change is one thing - making this change for one day is strange to me. I just never understood it.
Me- it didn't make any major changes for my wedding day but someone did ask DH how much did I work out before the wedding - DH got a kick out of that because he is a gym nut and can never get me into it...lol

Re: are there any brides NOT concerned with their weight before the big day?
I am not concerned with weight. I am the type of person that most people hate because I am naturally 'skinny'. I am going to try to tone my arms, shoulders, and back because I am going to be in a strapless gown. But the wedding isn't the only reason for me doing this. I look too bony.

I'm more concerned about being in shape for the honeymoon than the wedding. I'd like to shed a few pounds but I'm going to focus more on toning up.

julz33 - you're not alone! I've always been skinny, and would like to put on some weight for the wedding. I too am too bony and have a strapless dress.
When I get stressed out, I tend to lose weight - so, I'm really nervous about my weight for the wedding. Welcome New Vendors
