Why I hate shopping and driving this time of year!

PEOPLE ARE SO RUDE. Even worse then normal. I went to the mall and got cut off about 15 times and almost had accidents cause of it. I waited my turn in the turning lane through three lights what makes u think u can cut me off. At the same time, Im trying to switch lanes and have my blinker on for the last mile why cant u just let me in? Brings me back to the good old Will Smith song 'u saw my blinker Bit*h'

inside the store I say excuse me about 10 times why cant u get out of the F-IN way? I should have to say this more then once after the 6th time ill just push u out of the way!

I hate when you hold the door for someone and they don't say thank you. I want to slam it in their face!

Re: Why I hate shopping and driving this time of year!

i held the door for this family the other day because they had like 4 kids that they were carrying ad guiding...neither of the parents thanked me...and then like 5 girls came out right behind them, walked right through the door that i was holding and not one of them said thank you....so i said really loudly for them to hear 'You're Welcome!' and then loudly commented on how none of the people had even said 'Thank you' when i knew they were still in earshot.
I was tempted to stand behind the family's car so they couldn't get out of the parking lot...but it was too cold!!

rude people during the holidays are the WORST!!

Re: Why I hate shopping and driving this time of year!

Awww driving at this time brings such joy..

I regret my vanity plates at this time because they imply that my car is somehow speedy. 'Zoomer' (plates read something else, but you get the point)

I just get into the lane I want MILES before I need to and I expect the delay I just understand that it's part of the ritual. I am probably the one who won't let you in (sorry). If I see a car that really wants to come and has it's blinker on for a long time even if Im ahead I'll let them in if they make it to me. Why not? but if I see a car just crusin the middle lane the about a half mile out when the traffic is bad and no one is going anywhere they try to shove themselves in.. nope Not gonna happen with me. It's worse when Jim is driving ahead of me in his car. Since both cars are on my insurance and I've driven my car for over 7 years and know the dimensions with my eyes shut, I SIT on his bumper.

Then you get into the Mall and the Joy intensifies. Let the screaming begin. I think ever since I injured my knee i seem to notice how MUCH people swing their bags. I hope one day I break a gift for someone, smash a vase, crack a toy or destroy some computer equipment. Swing it around like that and I'll just take it from you - my mother would say, now I see why.

Nope not me. If and when I need ANYTHING during this time of year (from Thanksgiving until after New Years) I try to find stand alone stores and get there first thing in the morning. Or if we MUST got to the mall (cause you do sometimes) I still get up at the crack of dawn to be the first in the door with a CLEAR and EXACT list of what we are there for. The rule is, if you have not purchased your items by 10:30 Am, too bad. At exactly 10:30AM we head to our exit in the quickest fashion possible no matter WHAT you're doing. This includes NOT using the main walkways through stores. Walk through the racks it's actually faster. Also means dodging incoming boagies..er.. children and people in general with combat style movements and forward thinking. It's like a war zone and it's about to get ugly .. RETREAT!

Then there's the nasty stares as you walk.. yes WALK to your car swinging your keys in pure delight that you have escaped the mayhem that is the Mall. Unlike others I wont mention, though, I do NOT sit in my car and get pretty while waiting for it to warm up as others wait for the spot. Get in, get it started, buckle up and move ... no daddling.

Yep.. tis the season for creative driving, language also lack of respect and manners.

Re: Why I hate shopping and driving this time of year!

That's why I've been doing most of my Christmas shopping online for the past three years. NO MALLS, NO PEOPLE, NO TRAFFIC.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
